Yeah. I own I think both Con Air and The Rock, but they are from years ago. I have no receipt. Anyone look on the MIR to see if need the receipts. I probably wouldn't buy The Rock and Con Air again, unless I can get it.

I don't think you need receipts, just the PoP tab.

I'm guessing they might do it again next month for Crimson Tide on BD.

PoP tab only for the old, PoP tab and receipt for the new. And yes this is for Crimson Tide also.

I have the Rock UK disc, and I really hope the transfer is not better on the domestic release, for my own financial sake.

I just looked over the back of the disc and there's a message that reads "Suppliments Originally Produced By The Criterion Collection"

That's cool they brought most of the extras over, I didn't think they would. Hopefully they'll do the same for the Wes Anderson movies.

It seems that Starz has this on their HD list on Comcast on Demand. It seems when a new Blu Ray catalog is released, it shows up immediately on Starz.

No need to hide my friend, I am right there with you....considering Bay's hard-on for Blu-ray, you'd think this title would be coming pretty soon...also since both the regular and Criterion DVDs were non-anamorphic, this would probably be a really good catalog seller...

Well it is the 10th anniversary. Disney should "celebrate" this classic film with a Blu-ray release.

Just picked this up today. To clarify the $10 rebate, you need the following:

1. POP tab OR UPC tab from original DVD (it does say "Any version/edition of these films", so I suppose that means the Criterion qualifies).
2. POP tab from Blu-ray disc
3. Cash register receipt from Blu-ray purchase.

Unfortuntaley I've already traded my old Rock disc in for credit, so I don't have my old disc POP tab. Anyone wanna mail me one of theirs? I think each disc has 2 POP tabs, right? So if you're gonna cut out one, might as well cut out 2 right? In return I'd be happy to mail you one of my Crimson Tide POP tabs from the old disc (that will get you $10 off the Crimson Tide BD). Please email me at [email protected] if interested.

So does anyone know if there is a difference between the UK and US version of the Rock?

Hey, I am hoping Disney takes advantage of Armageddon's 10th Anniversary this year. This film desparately needs a new transfer. I want a loaded Special Edition with PCM audio. Disney has been very consistent, so I expect the best when/if this title gets released this year. I think it may be a Q3 or Q4 release if it happens.

a merging of the two would be perfect since then I could retire my Criterion disc and DTS laserdisc (the sound level which is room shattering). Disney should threw on two extras sound channels for 7.1 sound.

The US version has the Criterion audio commentary.

Most of these do say the cash register receipt with no mention of a submitting a copy of the receipt. What if you purchase 3 BD's to use the BB $20 off 3 coupon and get Con Air and The Rock. Can the two be combined in one envelope using the original receipt or will you have to try and get away with a copy of the receipt for one of the $10 rebates?

The rebate form says that a copy of the receipt is acceptable.

You just have to send in your original receipt (joking)

Well I broke down and got Con Air today too, So I'm also in the market for an old Con Air standard DVD proof of purchase tab. I still have an extra Crimson Tide standard DVD POP tab to trade, along with Blu-ray POP tabs for The Rock and Con Air (I'm offering the BR POP tabs in case anyone doesn't want to cut theirs off.) So to summarize:

Need: 1 Rock and/or Con Air Standard DVD POP tab
Have to trade: 1 Crimson Tide Standard DVD POP tab, 1 Rock BR POP tab, 1 Con Air BR POP tab.

I got The Rock yesterday and flipped through the chapters quickly. What I saw looked excellent. It seemed to have the detail and pop that I've come to expect from the best Disney releases.

I'm doing the mailing in two envelopes, just to be on the safe side. But after I filled out the form I noticed it said one rebate per household. I don't recall the front of the form saying $10 rebate on Con Air OR The Rock OR Crimson Tide so I am assuming it is one rebate per title.

Damn. I have The Rock, but just looked at the box. Apparently, there was some MIR in the past that required me to cut the UPC.

I'm almost half tempted to just send in the DVD to the fulfillment company, since I'm not likely to get $10 in trade anywhere for it.

I must admit I would happily buy Armageddon on Blu-ray.
