If Warner can give it, they can take it. It sounds like this release has gone down in flames... just like Jesse James.
It would be nice if it was catalog-priced though.

Highdefdigest just posted cover art and gives no indication of any postponement or cancellation:

It looks like the HD DVD version will be released mid-March and the Blu-ray version in late February. Sorry HD DVD, but I gotta get this film ASAP! Cancelled my HD DVD order, preordered Blu-ray.

What may have been a purchase for me has now turned to a rental at best. I don't care to support a company that makes this sort of decision.

Warner didn't have the region-free issue. It's New Line that was originally going to delay their HD-DVD titles for that. Warner always released BD & HD-DVD on the same day (except for Blood Diamond IIRC, but that was unrelated) prior to the exclusivity announcement. The HD-DVD delay is a new policy.

I think they pretty much have to. From what I understand, they have an a deal to release on HD DVD through May of 2008. But they can still tilt people towards Blu Ray by delaying the HD DVD release. I think that's the reason for the staggering.

On the Warner website, they list 2/5 for DVD and Blu-Ray and 2/26 for HD DVD
