It's 1999 all over again!

Also some of these only had 1 copy available. Most had 4-5.
I only saw one copy of Mr. Brooks when I was their yesterday. I actually watched the rental copy I had last night and didn't find it was something I'd watch again, so I'll probably just get AvP.

Slim pickings this morning (10 am). I grabbed Mr. Brooks. Glad I really took advantage of the Amazon BOGO instead. Every time Fry's has one of these (at least in Austin) they either don't have enough of the titles or none at all. When I stopped by yesterday they had not one copy of Kingdom of Heaven.

I picked up Kingdom of Heaven, Fantastic 4, Eragon, Flyboys, Ice Age, Night at the museum, Transporter 2, From Hell and Mr Brooks at the Austin store at 9:40am. Pickings were slim for the Fox titles but I was told they were going to restock "soon" whatever soon means.

Went to Fountain Valley Fry's early this morning and there were slim pickings. Only title they had that I wanted was 28 Days Later. I am hoping that the Anaheim store will have a better selection but I will not be able to go there until after work.

Is the sale over? Frys.com is showing prices at $27.99?

Fry's in Downer's Grove IL had a non-existant Fox sale selection at 5pm when I stopped by after work. I managed to find the last copy of the Fly which I picked up. I didn't even see spots were some of the titles would have fit, so I imagine that they didn't add any inventory for this sale. Maybe I'll stop by again Tuesday before the sale ends to see if they get any more in.

At the Phoenix area Fry's, I picked up 28 days, 28 weeks later, and the fly.

I wanted From Hell but they were out. Still, 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

Were you there tonight? I was there few hours ago with the kiddies, and then went back to pick up The Fly, prices were too good to pass up.

Went to Fry's in Arlington, TX this morning and they had ample copies of most titles. The only one I didn't see any of was the original Fantastic Four. I picked up Ice Age - The Meltdown, From Hell, X3, Day After Tomorrow, Flyboys, The Fly, and AvP.

FYI, I went to the Irving, TX location late last night and was able to pick up the last copies of 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later (also picked up Fantastic Four 2). The pickings were much slimmer at this location, so unless they restocked this morning your best bet in the area appears to be Arlington.

Fry's IL had all of the advertised titles this morning, and apparently restocked as they had at least 8 copies out of each.

Grrrrr...why can't there be a Fry's here in VA? I would have picked up some of these Fox titles!

Oxnard Frys has sold out of most of the good titles. I'll wait for the next fire sale and grab the new batch of titles. Buying Blu-ray at full price from now on = stupid.

Cancelling my Mr and Mrs Smith preorders and all the catalog Blu-rays that I hav e on preorder. I would have saved a lot of money for titles that I bought just a month ago (The Fly, for example, bought it for $27.99 at Fry's!)

Yeah, exactly. I bought 28 Weeks later 32 days ago thinking I was "safe" since it was a new release that was day and date. I was wrong. Of course they won't refund me the difference since its 2 days past the return date.

Badder Santa comes out on Tuesday. I'd love to buy it then, but I'll just wait 2 weeks. It will be on fire sale. Look how fast Hollow Man and Scary movie became BOGO. They've been out for what, 2-3 weeks? Ridiculous.

Oh yeah I was excited when Amazon refunded me $4 from my $27.95 28 Weeks Later preorder when they dropped the price to $23.95.

Exactly why I don't buy Blu-ray on release date anymore. I learned my lesson with catalog titles, and now I learned my lesson with new releases. Never again.

Jesus, do you have to put a negative spin on every post involved with blu-ray. I can say the same with Toshiba standalones about not purchasing them when they come out when they will be hundreds of dollars cheaper months later. Give it a rest Gizmo.

No, I think his (and my) point is that there should be lower MSRP on titles. $40 MSRP and then we get fucked over when the title is at $15 a month later. SD pricing for HD, please.

This is the first time we have had Fox titles on sales and it is only one retailer doing it. I swear I've never heard so much bitching and complaining about pricing being LOWER. Ask yourself the same question why the HD-DVD PRG cannot give you the same deals that the BDA is offering to their customers.
