What ever happened to keeping this thread about U.S. releases? Pretty annoying to keep seeing movies I want posted, then little a little note at the end (or no note) saying it is a foreign release.

Pro-B

It is not normal for HDD to report foreign release news, so that's why I thought it was domestic. I guess we'll have to wait and see if there are Amazon pre-orders for these.

If the titles are Region A (BD) or Region Free (HD) then the news is useful to me.

The Proposition and Rambo set are mine. The new one will probably drop a mushroom cloud on the norms of HD audio. Though Rambo III might become my first Blu-ray coaster. :D

Ditto for me. I saw Rambo in the theater and kept thinking it would be awesome if LG did 7.1 PCM. The last 10 minutes are going to be crazy.

The Proposition DVD had an awesome DTS track, so I look forward to getting a lossless version of that too.

Well, I only post HD DVD info, which is region-free. You can always import them. I also post domestic Blu-ray releases as Pro-B has a seperate Foreign Blu-ray thread.

The 27 Dresses font looks extremely out of place.

I laughed when I saw the cover for P.S. I Love You. That's good stuff. ;)

I would agree, but if its Region zero I would love to see more! ;)

There should be a thread for overseas imports of US films.

"Foreign Cinema in BLU"

"Foreign Cinema in HD-DVD"

Both threads cover both foreign language films in HD and domestic releases overseas.

A Rambo 1-3 boxset was just added at DVDEmpire, but it doesn't include the new Rambo movie , which you'd have to get seperately. Still you save $20 MSRP if you get the box instead of the separates.

Also looks like Lion's Gate is going Digital Copy on the new Rambo as well:

Badass cover. Fox should follow Lionsgate's lead and hawk the digital copy on a sticker.

+1 -- ruining the art with that digital copy stuff sucks.

Sigh... I guess I can't fault the studios for wanting the latest installment in franchises to stand out...

Does this mean LG's dropping their silver border/spine?

Supermallet 03-06-08 04:15 PM

I hope so, those silver borders are fugly.

Mr. Cinema 03-06-08 05:40 PM

When will the thread title get changed to "Blu-ray Release Announcements 2008" ?
