Price was apparently changed to $89.09. There is no way in hell I'm paying that much for 3 movies.

I'll be pre-ordering the trilogy set shortly. No way would I ever pay $50 for a movie.

So glad I never purchased VHS back in the day. I don't know how some of you guys did it. Did you sell organs to pay for them?

The problem with this line of thinking is that Spider-Man 2 has been shown in the coming soon previews on every Sony disc for the last 12 months, maybe longer.

I didn't see what post you are responding to, but if you are talking about the days VHS tapes were priced $100 for rentals, you could not just walk in and purchase them anywhere. There was a rental window of 4 to 6 months where you had to rent the movie, then after a couple months you bought a used copy from Blockbuster that had been watched 50+ times for only $20.

Yikes! I agree with Rock though, it'll go down from that... if I remember right, the Mission Impossible box set pre-order price also fluctuated on Amazon.

And with the 10% discount, it came out to $58.49. Still overpriced, but not so horrible.

$19.50 per movie doesn't seem overpriced to me. Not even close.

Not overpriced by HD standards.

Yeah, three high-profile films (esp a new one) for less than $20 each is a good deal no question. (even though it appears 2 are somewhat feature-less) I don't have the Amazon discount but I'll definitely grab it for $65.

Re: Spider-Man Trilogy headed for BR

So, I picked up the Target Exclusive version of this from FYE used, which is basically just all three films (four discs) in one BD case, as opposed to the standard version. However, I've found out that this version came with a slipcover, and I'm looking for a near mint to mint condition version of this slipcover. If anyone has it and would be willing to part with it for a reasonable price, please PM me. Thanks!
