Damn. Sony and Fox have a bad habit of announcing titles and then delaying them.

Wonderful. Those are the 3 titles I was interested in picking up. No disrespect to Cruel Infections fans.

The titles were never officially announced. No press release.

Ditto....Bluray (its studios I guess) is really pissing me off recently with their delays. At least HD-DVD rarely delays titles.

Fixed.

:D

Seriously, it does suck when BD's are cancelled, but HD-DVD was no better through February and March with virtually no exclusive titles released.

Because there aren't many titles to delay. ;)

applesandrice 03-23-07 03:44 PM

Hey, to be fair, there are plenty of titles which have been "coming soon" to HD DVD, also. As in, "Summer of 2006"?:)

I'm pretty sure we'll never know all of the reasons behind these delays -- sun spots? Global Warming? Communist conspiracy? -- but wouldn't it kinda take away some of the fun if we did? Plus, I'm sure it builds character or something.

Yeah, it would be nice to see those too, but even BD has those (like the ones in the disney advertisements). I dont think much about them until they attach a hard date to them.

But, once distributors start getting info about a release date and then they are delayed, thats whats frustrating.

Mr. Cinema 03-23-07 04:07 PM

This is now official. Not all specs are finalized, but so far, at least for the dvd, it'll include 3 commentaries an a 1-hour documentary. Sounds good.

I am all over Bridge To Terabithia on BD. Although, you couldn't even pay me to sit through Primeval again...that movie made me want to poke my eyes out.

ianholm 03-23-07 04:48 PM

Yep, I agree on Terabithia, though I never even heard of Primevil. It sounds pretty damn crappy.

rexinnih 03-25-07 05:50 PM

Oh, yeah!

Bcolon 03-25-07 10:03 PM

So are we not geting Charlote's Web?

darkside 03-25-07 10:23 PM

It is at least a rental. I usually can't stand Nick Cage, but will give this one a shot.

Mr. Cinema 03-25-07 10:25 PM

I'm one of the few who liked Daredevil (also from Mark Steven Johnson), so I'm looking forward to seeing this. I'll give any comic book movie a chance...except Catwoman.

Rome & Battlestar Galactica?

Didn't see these on the list on the first page. Anyone know if and when HBO's Rome and Sci-Fi's Battlestar Galactica will come to HD DVD or Blu-Ray?

fitprod 03-26-07 05:59 AM

Battlestar Galactica is likely to show up on HD DVD this fall, since it is a Universal show, and this will be the last season.

Rome should be simultaneous on HD DVD and Blu-ray when it is released. This should also be later in the fall. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll release both seasons 1 & 2 in one set.

Where have you read that this will be Battlestars last season? Rome just ended, did you mean it?

Doesn't look like it, at least not for day and date. This is Paramount we're talking about so who knows what they're doing.

It's not...it's been picked up for a 13-episode Season Four.

mdc3000 03-26-07 09:40 AM

They've up the episode order for season 4 from 13 to a full 22 of BSG.

I really hope that doesn't mean 9 standalone filler episodes....

fitprod 03-26-07 05:33 PM

Yeah... Sorry... I meant the next season (Season 4) will be it's last. That's the rumor floating around...
