Let's wait and see which release(if either) gets lossless audio.

Hopefully they'll do the same thing as The Departed, Dolby TrueHD for HD, PCM for BD. I would def. get the Blu-ray version then.

To be honest lossless audio isn't enough reason for me to buy an HD-DVD combo anymore.

Does anyone know if Hellboy is getting a US Blu-ray release??

I have only just noticed that it's up for pre-order over here for a Region B release next week.

Sadly my PS3 is Region A, so any news if this is out anytime soon??

EDIT: Not to worry, a bit more digging around and it looks like the European release will be coded all region . No extras though

Not until New Line gets on board with both formats, anyway.

Aren't they waiting until Q3 or for TotalHD discs to be ready? I'm thinking their debut will consist of Blade, Austin Powers, Se7en, and a few others.

Wow huge amount of Blu-Ray announcements from my distributor. First heres one from warner for both HD and BR:

Music & Lyrics: 05/08/07 with MSRP at $39.99 for HD(Combo) and $34.99 BR

Now onto the all the Sony titles that are for 06/05/07:

A Few Good Men: MSRp of $28.95
Hellboy: MSRP $28.95
Meatballs: msrp $28.95
Cruel Intentions: msrp $28.95
Jerry Maguire: msrp $28.95
The Messengers: Msrp $38.96
Rescue Me 3rd season: MSrp $79.95

also Seven Years in Tibet has been moved to 06/05/07 as well.

I'm also showing that Harsh Times and Black Christmas have been moved to 06/12/07 for HD. No combos at least so good pricing.

Very intersting list from Sony. There are definately some titles i would want on there, but definately some head scratchers that are surprising that they would release now. Big Props for Rescue Me. Zero props for the $30 difference in MSRP though.

I'll pick up The Messengers, A Few Good Men and Cruel Intentions. No Rescue Me for me with that price. I was looking forwrad to the $20 pricing like Weeds S1

Tech specs for THe Fountain are the same for both discs according to HDD with DD 640k tracks.

Warner will offer identical specs for the Blu-ray and HD DVD versions, including a 1080p/VC-1 transfer and Dolby 5.1 surround tracks (both at 640kbps).

Extras include only "Inside The Fountain: Death and Rebirth," a six-part featurette gallery exploring the movie's various periods and setting, and the theatrical trailer.

Warner has set a $34.95 list price for the Blu-ray, and $39.95 for the HD DVD/DVD, which will be a combo release.

The DVD is downright awful. I will be interested in seeing what they do on this transfer. Maybe they restored it or found new elements.

To be fair, Weeds only had 11 half-hour episodes in its first season (counting the pilot). Rescue Me had 13 hour-long episodes.

Yes, but Smallville Season 5 had 22 hour long episodes and has the same retail price as this Rescue Me set. I think a $50 retail price would have been fair.

A Few Good Men is the only one on the list I want. I think I'm fine with Rescue Me in SD until the other seasons are made available as well.

I thought Meatballs was a WB title. I'll get:

A Few Good Men
Meatballs
Cruel Intentions
Jerry Maguire

and maybe Hellboy.

I don't think I want any of those Sony titles, except maybe A Few Good Men. I'll have to tell my brother about Cruel Intentions though.
