The dvd of Pirates 2 had an incredible 5.1 mix, so that PCM track should be one of the top mixes for BD.

Yep, looking forward to the cannon fights and the triple-gun, especially since the DVD didn't have DTS this time around.

It seems like Disney is the only BD-only studio who knows how to do it right.

Cue outraged cries of "40 bucks for a nearly barebones disc when there's a 2-disc SE DVD coming up?".

Now, if they could only eighty-six the stupid anti-piracy ads (I thought Blu-ray had that "extra security" that prevents piracy) and the advertisements for other BVHE titles, they'd be almost perfect.

And the 2-disc SE DVD costs 5 bucks less. But you know, 25 GB can only hold so much.

Think of how much better it would be if Blu-ray had discs that could hold more than 25 GB.

Admins: there seems to be a problem with the forum. When I edit the initial post, if I use the code tag, the entire post disappears from normal view (but is still visible if I edit it).

There are similar issues in other threads. I'm not sure what the problem is, exactly, or what to do about it, but it's definitely being looked into.

And for some reason, die-hard BD people still could give a shit about paying that money for very little value. Studios seriously need to get their act together.
