Well, jigga mentioned we'd be getting Private Ryan so that means there's not a COMPLETE embargo on his films.

What??!!??

Did he hint on a release date?

E.T., Jaws, and Jurassic Park would be 3 mega exclusives and they'll probably be combos.

Just to give you guys a heads up, currently Best Buy is carrying an HP laptop and it comes with a free HD DVD of the Bourne Supremacy.

Edited to add: It is not a US release of the movie.

Ask him. Sometimes he posts here. I'd ask but he doesn't like me.

I know you have that wink smilie but these days I'm not going to accept anything until I see a release date and then that title in my hands on that date.

An earlier press release apparently expressly said "1960". I haven't seen it to verify.

Your skepticism is not without merit. At the same time, however, I consider that HD-DVD has been so strong out of the gate, and that even with their "indefinitely" postponed releases, there IS a light at the end of the tunnel.

Sheesh. Two crappy cliches in one sentence!

I'll just import those bastards....although they will probably be delayed by 3 months for their overseas release.

Sadly, some AVS members took Universal's lack of activity at CES as a sign of them quietly switching to Blu-ray. There are alot of idiots on that forum. ALOT.

Even the insiders have me questioning their legitimacy sometimes.

Thats the truth...he is full of spin.

There was one instance where someone asked about what the BDA thought of TotalHD....while his signature says that he does NOT speak for the BDA, he sure enough answered quickly as to their position on it.

Haha, the irony of that guy's handle is pretty amusing. What gets me is that he is allowed to hide behind an alias, claiming that he speaks only for himself, when it is clear that his express purpose on AVS is to put out the BDA spin. I assume that his posting activities are part and parcel of his BDA job duties as he must spend hours each day reviewing and responding to posts. His attempt to spin the lack of real PIP on current BD titles was hilarious and very telling of his sense of integrity (or lack thereof).

Well some bad news looks like SPR has dropped off the schedule. It could come back, but I don't see it anymore.
