Since Columbia House doesn't carry Disney or Fox dvds, I'm sure we won't see any Blu-rays either. But it's still nice to see they will be carrying both formats.

Yep, I have joined the TV club a couple of months ago to get House S2, but I have joined once this year in the regular club.

I'm still smiling just thinking about it.

I will probably hold off buying a ton of HDDVDs until I find out about CH.

Yes, I hadn't noticed that since I don't have most of them. But of the ones I do have, all are WB.

I've mentioned it elsewhere, but longtime DVD buyers will remember that it was Warner Bros. who forced prices down by pricing them low to sell in volume and encourage people like us to collect DVDs, as opposed to just rent them (anyone remember "rental pricing" for VHS?). The other studios were forced to lower prices to be competitive and SD DVD became a massive success, with even casual movie watchers often just buying rather than renting discs.

It would appear that, once again, WB is leading the way with lots of releases and lower prices. As opposed to, say, Fox...

Nice find. Getting 3 BDs for $33 is a great deal.

It would be nice if we would actually get a HD DVD sale on software. We've already had 2 good BD software sales this year through Amazon.

That is a great deal and I would be all over it if the remastered Fifth Element was out. I'm not sure they will ever have a comparable HD DVD deal.

I went ahead and pre-ordered the new Panny bluray player BD10A from onecall.com.....Right now, they have a Summer coupon for $25 off. So, it was $574.99 after coupon with free 3 day shipping.

Also, the panny is supposed to come with 5 free movies in the box, so it makes it a good deal.

Personally, im selling my PS3 and the 5 free movies to pay for it. Tired of the PS3.

I already sold my PS3. I think I would rather have a standalone unit, even though the PS3 is solid. Plus, I hate slot-loading machines and I miss the analogs for the PCM tracks. But I'm going the cheaper route and getting the Sony BDP-S300 for $499. I believe the 1st Gen Sony is getting firmware update soon to enable TrueHD decoding. I hope that means that the 300 will be able to do that also.

Yes, the Sony is cheaper, BUT does it come with the 5 free movies?

Im gonna ebay them and most likely make up most of the $75 difference in price.

Nice. For some reason, a few off those titles don't seem to appear on DD or DVDPlanet's website, unless I'm missing something (i.e. Fantastic Four, Windtalkers, Transporter)
