Oh, okay. I didn't pay attention to when it was coming out because I'm not interested in it.

How is the picture/audio quality? |
PQ looks washed out, with pushed reds. Not very pleasing. AQ was average.

It's AVC encoded and sounds great, too. It seems as though everything was carried over from the 2-disc edition, but I can't recall exactly. Great disc.

I got Beerfest on HD-DVD from Amazon yesterday, it looked great. Extras were a bit skimpy, but the commentaries were hilarious. It's probably the best looking comedy I've got on HD-DVD, highly recommended if you've got any interest.

In other words, it makes me take your reviews with a gigantic grain of salt. So I'm inclined to believe Suprmallet over those who say it looks "great", personally. |

The PQ isn't awful, there's a hell of a lot of detail on the disc, but the colors do seem muted except for skin tones, which have an odd pushed tone to them. If you read my reviews, you'll see I have no problem giving high PQ/AQ marks to movies I personally dislike. I'm just calling it like I see it.
Look forward to your review! |

Look forward to your review! And thanks for confirming that the SD looks similar, Josh. |

Yes, it's a mid-tier transfer. I, for my part, never said it was dreadful, either.

That comment wasn't necessarily directed towards you. :)
