I don't see any evidence of the Universal price-drop at the e-tailers I normally frequent, Amazon and DVD Planet, has anyone else seen them taken into account?

Best Buy dropped their Universal titles to 22.99 in-store.

Yes, Best Buy and Amazon have both dropped pricing on most of the Universal titles. For example, Pitch Black and Doom used to be around $23.99 on Amazon, now they're $19.95. Riddick is still $23.95 at Amazon, however.

I guess I thought they'd be dropping the prices of Bourne and Jarhead too. Hell, maybe they did, and I didn't notice. I've gotten kinda used to paying $19.99 less 10% for my HD DVDs that I didn't really want to pay $23.95. However, if they're not going to drop, I will order them to show solidarity anyway.

Order from Amazon marketplace. Jarhead floats around the $13 mark.

I'm pretty sure that won't show up as a coordinated HD-DVD purchase. If it's new it might not register as an HD-DVD sale for Amazon, and it it's used, the studio didn't get $0.10 from the sale.

Ordered Unleashed, Animal House, Sky Captain and Enter The Dragon from Amazon. Unfortunately they list Unleashed and Animal House as coming out next week.

Serenity, Unforgiven, and Pitch Black from Amazon. None are in stock, so this must have had some affect.

Added pre-orders for Fast and the Furious and 2 fast 2 furious. I think this means I have just about every available hd-dvd up for pre-order somewhere.

Picked up Four Brothers and Aeon Flux.

FYI, my Best Buy still had a lot of titles at $29.99 (like Doom).

Circuit City, as per usual, has it's head stuck up it's fucking ass and lost $50 of business. They've probably lost close to $200 so far just from me by not having anything in stock. Ditto for Wal-Mart.

Pitch Black and U-571, also pre-ordered Backdraft. Too bad Amazon doesn't have The Italian Job up for order or it would have been 4 total.

Got Aeon Flux & Italian Job from BB. Animal House would've been #3 but the release date changed.

Back from Best Buy. I picked up Jarhead, Lethal Weapon, The Fugitive, and Sahara. Figured I'd pick up one from each studio, and The Fugitive was cheaper than the rest so I grabbed that one, too. I know it has the bob but that's okay.

Ordered The Bourne Supremacy and Jarhead from Amazon. Pre-ordered Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (my first HD DVD blind-buy) and Red Dragon from Amazon as well.

From what I saw at a nearby CC, they get maybe 2-3 copies of each HD-DVD title.

Of course..... it looks like no has touched the BR display.

Someone on AVS had a great idea. Since this event went so well, we should plan another coordinated buy. When? Why, of course, on November 17th, the same day the PS3 launches. Might be a nice fuck you to Sony.

We should do the next one during the DDD sale (which might be going on during the 17th).

Yeah, I didn't bother to clear the cobwebs to see what titles they had in stock.
