I have no idea what kind of costs servers require, are we talking hundreds of dollars a month or something?

The essential value in FilmAf was all the user-inputted data - it had a very thorough database of basically every North American Blu-ray ever released.

My hunch is there are users who would be hungry to rush in and fill in all the info gaps on releases since it went down, too.

Oh absolutely. I still catch myself wanting to look up something to compare versions at a glance.
