If I may... I think we can gather the following from all the posts here:

1. It's ONLY happening on mobile devices (phones and/or tablets)
2. It's happening in Chrome and Safari browsers on iPhone and Android. Doesn't seem to be happing on Edge for Windows Phone but nobody's targeting a platform that's all but dead.
3. It's happening whether you use the desktop or mobile skin; doesn't matter which.
4. We've provided a ton of screenshots or links to the pages we're being pushed to.
5. It's been going on for many months.

Did I miss anything?

Here's today for me:

I actually had a call with IB last night. This was one of the topics. My understanding is that this is coming from the ad company that produces all the ads. If they run out of ad space they farm it out to another sub contractor who produces ads. I'm guessing some of these are how shall we say, questionable at best. IB can report the bad ads to the ad company and they are supposed to take them down. That is the best we can do for now.

Time for a new ad company. Telling the users we have to live with takeover ads isn't acceptable.

That is some horse shit right there.

Ads that pop up on a new tab are shit.

Ads that pop up on the current tab, making it impossible to go back to the site you're on without clicking on the ad (potentially causing bigger problems), or being forced to shut the browser down, reopen it, and quickly close the ad before it gets a chance to load again is garbage-tier amateur horse shit for the worst of the scummy sites of the internet.

I can't imagine this really attracts more users to this site nor inspires those here to stay. I hope it gets fixed soon as this is my #1 go-to site..

I wonder how long it will be before we start getting those iOS ads that use javascript to seize your browser, claim that they're the FBI and have found illegal content on my iPad/iPhone, and I'll be arrested if I don't buy a $300 Green Dot card and give them the number.

(Those were a pain in the ass. Finally found out that to unfreeze iOS all I had to do was disable javascript.)

2 more take over ads in a row just now. I just deleted the bookmark on my phone. Not worth it to browse the site on mobile.

Literally just got another one while coming to this very thread. Fuck this.

What I do on my S7 is hit the home button, open active apps, and close the browser. I reopen my bookmark and go back to reading about everyone's opinions on our new national political nightmare.
