Disappearing posts?

Either I'm suffering from vascular dementia or posts keep disappearing. In the past week or so, a couple of posts I've made simply disappear. I come back to the thread and they're not there. This has happened too with posts I edit. The edit simply disappears. It's like the forum is reverting to its state from 30 seconds ago.

It isn't very common, so it's not happening, like, all the time, but it is making me wonder if I've suffered brain lesions. Please tell me its the forum.

Thanks!

No idea. It would help if you could provide some detail on a post or two that disappeared so we could try to track it down.

However it could be vascular dementia or even Alzheimer's.

Signs of vascular dementia:

* problems with recent memory
* wandering or getting lost in familiar places
* walking with rapid, shuffling steps
* disinhibition, including loss of bladder or bowel control
* emotional lability
* difficulty following instructions
* problems handling money

Hmmm...

I've seen some odd things recently with disappearing posts, however they are not my posts. I get e-mail notifications for the threads I subscribe to and it seems like 3-4 times in the last week I've gone to the new post and the post I got from the e-mail is not there. I know that it is possible that the person simply deleted the post right away, but it seems unlikely given the nature of the posts.

Here's an example:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-talk/54...g-down-13.html
BlueCC just posted a message that would have been post #318, but as soon as I went there it was gone.

Also in this thread:
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/store-forum...edition-3.html
kahuna posted what would have been post #67 on 11/11/08. When I clicked to go to that message it was gone.

Like I said, probably just users deleting posts, but still a head scratcher.

That's exactly what it is in those cases.
