I'm glad i'm not the only one who got this. I got it a few days ago and thought there was something wrong with my computer.

I did find it a tad odd having my non-windows PC being checked for malicious Windows stuff.

Should I be concerned about what the site was trying to do even though I'm running Linux?

This is really very annoying. Each time it opens, I have to close my browser. Really awful. Hope you get them, Geoff.

My Norton Security Detected a virus because of this!!

DVD Talk please fix this ASAP.

If I did not have Norton Security, I would have a virus now.

The Forums are great and I hope you get it fixed.

Just some more info on clicking. I've had this happen 4 times. 3 of them were when I clicked the "first new post" button before a thread title. It happened in various forums.

The fourth time I was in mid-sentence in typing a reply and it happened. I didn't even click anything. That was about 30 minutes ago.

And here I thought it was just me! This happended Friday, and now again today. I'm running Firefox, but I haven't anything else to add, but now I know what to look for when/if it happens again. As others have said, it immediately shrinks my window into a dialouge box and then to some crap antivirus site. If it happens again, I'll try the source info stuff!

I got the malware one when browsing from the main forum page to the video game talk page. Unfortunately, I opened it in another tab, so I didn't have a chance to see the page before it redirected. My anti-virus did not like that page!

I just got the performanceoptimizer.com one clicking through the sports forum. I was using Firefox all weekend and didn't notice it, as soon as I used IE through work it came up on my first link through DVDTalk.

Got hit with Safari on a Mac--a little less alarming when all the graphics are for a Windows computer.

I suspect that share anything with everyone ad.

DVDTalk/Malware Scanner Warning - Multiple Computers

On both my home computer and my office computer - I have been browsing DVDtalk and suddenly - when I click a thread title, a warning saying that Malware has been detected on my computer. Then it says to click ok to go to the scanner. I of course closed out of it, and when I go back to DVDtalk (as I am now) everything is fine. But I'm sure if I clear my cache it will do it again.

Any ideas?

Geoff, it happened again. It seems to happen when a banner ad first loads, but will not happen if that same banner loads again during that rotation. Run once mal-ware. It was the same banner from last night. T-Tubes.

I've gotten this a couple times in the past few days. I thought I had something on my computer already. As soon as I get redirected Avast Antivirus pops up a warning for a virus.

I've gotten this a few times in the last couple days too. Seems to happen intermittently when I open a new forum or thread. Not sure which ads are doing it.

I just tried to go to the TV Talk forum, and I was greeted by a pop up that went to that link.

It kept wanting me to install this malware program.
