Will the subscription icon be restored anytime soon or are the server issues ongoing?

Everything's been working swimmingly the past couple of weeks. Today I've found several hangs and or slow response times. Nothing as bad as from a couple of months ago, however.

The site is a trainwreck for me right now ... every other site seems just fine.

And now that I have posted, it has gotten better.

It's been going at a crawl for me too at times tonight, several minutes for some page loads, other times it's blazing.

Yeah, I got tons of page hang ups earlier today as well.

And getting the hang ups again today.

There were some network-related problems yesterday, but if you have a problem, run a traceroute please and see if that is the cause, if not (even if it is) post here..

I don't remember how to do the trace routes. Might be hard to get one when the problem is occuring as it tends to just happen sporadically then be blazing fast again.

Pretty sure they haven't been on my end as I was able to load other sites at normal speeds while the threads here were hanging for a minute or two.

if you're in windows, start, run, type cmd then enter, type "tracert dvdtalk.com" without quotes.

Just experienced a forum hiccup at 4:28pm Eastern. Tried to post, waited, waited, waited, 2 minutes later a double post. No complaints in weeks, otherwise. Keep up the good work Geoff!!!

I had some slow down and hangs earlier this afternoon as well.

It's back! 11:40am Eastern. Tried to post, whole forum froze for almost 2 minutes, then double posted for me.

It's been freezing up for the last couple of days actually. Big time.

Yep, been unusable a couple of times the past couple days for me as well.

Think it was over short periods of time as I'd just give up and try again later and it was fine.

slow from 3:54 to 3:58pm Eastern.

I got a couple hangs on replies during that time as well.

Super slow around 8:02 PM EST.

Ran a TRACERT right then and just now got this too load to post it.

looks fine..it was probably the server (dvdtalk's) and not anything to do with the routing..

Yeah, that's what I figured.

Been getting random hangs the past week or so. But not near as frequent or long lasting as the ones occuring back when this thread was started.

On that note I just got the "there seems to be a slight problem with the database...." error screen.

The site was entirely offline for a few tries a couple of minutes ago.

4 slowdowns today, each lasting about 3 minutes.
