No, I was in no way implying that you're Bill Posters. Yeah, I see the new edit to the thread you linked now. I think the locked thread would have been the end of it if not for an email and some other discoveries.
Thanks for your response. Obviously I know gareth and have talked to him about this. Can you post or at least tell gareth what those "other discoveries" are? He was told that he was banned for being anti-Semitic and he is quite bothered by that since he categorically is not.

As has been the policy for as long as I can remember, discussions over banned members are handled over e-mail. Of course, for as long as I can remember, there always seems to be a thread about it anyway.

That's really between him and the Admins. I'm sure he knows about his other accounts, so there's really nothing to tell.

Here's the line from the rules:

Note: DVD Talk has a zero tolerance policy for personal attacks. Posting something to the DVD Talk forum which personally attacks another forum member or contains profanity or any type of racial or ethnic slur may result in immediate suspension of your user account

While we do not discuss administrative action. I can say there was more to the banning than just this sole comment.

Rule of thumb. How about not making jokes at anyones expense.

So we can't joke about the whole "penitration" thing anymore?

He says he doesn't have any other accounts and nobody has emailed him about them.
