Yea, that's a problem you'll run into, if the stuff too common, it's pretty much worthless. I looked at Decluttr a few months ago, but I don't recall the prices being that great. I've sold some stuff to this website Eagle Saver. Unfortunately, you're only options may be pawn shops, Goodwill, or the trash.

I don't think you can really sell anything in the secondary market right now. Just too much unsold used product on the market and if there any B&M stores left that deal with used product, they may not even take much or any right now because the pandemic really killed the market. One store I used to sell a lot of stuff to Book off was shuttered for months. I'm afraid of even wasting any time trying to bring stuff there since they must have lost a shit load of money when they were closed for months and probably don't have much in store traffic right now.

Second and Charles buys used movies but you may not have one in your geographic area.

tax write-offs may not be a possibility for most of us, though. When the tax code was changed a year or two back, a lot of the things previously allowed as charitable deductions were done-away with.

Re: Re Selling Used Dvds-Is there a market?

I just took some stuff to Half Price Books for the first time since before the pandemic started and was pretty astounded at what I got for it. I had three shopping bags and a small box and only got $24. It had some good animation and such in it but the market is just nothing like it used to be.

Looking around the store, the only thing that seemed to be holding value was some of the horror stuff or nice boxsets. At least I've made some space on my shelves.

Horror and anime seem to be the only DVDs that hold their value, but even that's slipping away.
