Also, the WNUF Halloween Special.
This is the newsroom one right? There was a good bit of talk about it and meant to add it to the pile, but things just got away from me.

What's on Turner Classic Movies on Demand in October usually? I think my parents may have it.

I'd assume it's good ...as good as a 1992 BBC presentation can be. I only subscribe to Shudder in Oct, but they don't disappoint.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 13: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl

I sat out on my porch with a cup of coffee earlier tonight, and listened to the soundtrack for HalloweeN Returns. I loved it, but am surprised that the soundtrack was out before the movie is even released. I was glad to see the original talent worked on the music.

I can't say for certain but it's my understanding that all of the movies on during the month are also on demand for a portion of the month, maybe only a week but anytime during that week.

For returning themes, I'd also like to vote for:
  • Bigfoots, Yetis & Tiny Terrors - 2015
  • Campground Tales / Summer Themed - 2012, 2014
  • Found Footage - 2011

On days like today, it is good that there is so much horror to watch between DVDs, streaming, and TV. I woke up feeling like a horror day.

I know I should have waited, but ended up watching Birth of the Living Dead last night. Liked this one a bit more that Document of the Dead.

I watched The Stendhal Syndrome ...the last great Argento flick, IMO. The new Blue Underground release looks amazing.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 13: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl

And our current progress...

  • There's 7 volunteer spots remaining on the subset list.

  • Media Home Entertainment has been added to the 1980's Video Companies Spotlight.

  • The Elimination Round. We need to weed out the losers and settle some tiebreakers. Currently there's 7 spots remaining there - 6 for new themes and 1 for returning (I think). I'll start that either tonight or tomorrow once I double-check everything.

How about adding Bud Westmore to the Makeup Effects Artists checklist item? We haven't had him in the mix before, have we?

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 13: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl

A quick moment of silence for our fallen themes that failed to make the final round...

For those that never really had a chance in hell (here's looking at you, Two-Faced Big Mouths with Dirty Dishes), to those that are returning back to the bowels of hell (Necrophilia in Horror Films).

We salute you.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 13: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checkl

Would it make sense to combine the Skeletons and Skulls themes if they prove popular enough to make the cut?
