Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

Re: Seventh Annual Drive-In/Exploitation Challenge April 1-30, 2016

I was in for a disappointment tonight. 5 minutes into Cyber Ninja, the second ninja movie on the ninja DVD I got from Netflix, the movie started to skip. I was really looking forward to it too, as it started out strong, a battle in the future, on a far off planet, with lasers, war machines, martial artists, and mechanical ninjas.

Discovered the greatness that is Duke Mitchell with a double feature of Gone with the Pope and Massacre: Mafia Style. So good, and can't wait to delve into the supplemental material. Disappointed to hear he did nothing beyond that (RIP), although his IMDB page reveals he was the singing voice of Fred Flintstone! That instantly reminded me of Jackie Vernon who starred in Microwave Massacre, and voiced Frosty the Snowman. No idea what the connection is there, but love finding little factoids like that.

God. Anyone remember the days when Netflix would ship DVDs from Grindhouse Releasing and other cult labels? I still can't believe I haven't seen GWTP yet.

Oh, yeah. I managed to get through the first Archer movie. But within the first 10 minutes of the 2nd one, I said "Uhh, I'll try to watch this some other time". Like you said, I didn't have any problems with the New-Swordsman movies (ElRey showed both franchises) I even thought they were better than the Wang Yu movies (Although Wang Yu's One-Armed Swordsman vs Zatoichi kicks a lot of ass. That's actually my favorite 1-Armed Swordsman movie)

Unfortunately for Mama, their latest target has a similar idea. This one started out promisingly, then trudged along to it's rather predictable conclusion. Not bad, but nothing special.
I'm not familiar with Gloria Grahame, but did she always act like a ventriloquist? I couldn't believe how her mouth never seemed to move with all those lines she spoke!
And while we all know that Candice Rialson was a queen of the 70's, I wished Sondra Curie did more Drive-In work during that era (I only mostly know her for Policewomen, my favorite Crown International movie) Afterwards, I was stunned to find out that she appeared in the Hangover movies!

Haha! Totally.

I'm watching Hanzo The Razor now and my wife thought she could ignore it and get some work done, but she quickly retreated to the bedroom.

Yeah, I can see that. I'm not going to add any more Misty Mundae types (porn models that managed to be cast in DTV drek), but Vanity might be close enough.

I love those movies. They really grew on me after a few viewings.

There's always this Duke Mitchell Classic.

I just realized that I've never actually sat through Mondo Trasho despite being a John Waters fanatic since I was 15 (31 years!). I'm tackling it tonight.

Spoilers I suppose -- for the Japanese market Zatoichi won; the One-Armed Swordsman won in the Chinese market.

I wonder if that version will ever turn up. Apparently it's lost, if it did exist. They used to say the same thing about King Kong vs Godzilla and that turned out to be a myth. I even got a letter published in Entertainment Weekly about KK v GZ about it.

I've always said that if you really love movies, then you have to love the trash as well as the jewels. I get as much enjoyment out of watching a vintage drive-in horror flick as I do from a Criterion-level film.

Oh man. The "Draws" and "Different Market" legends never seem to end. At least good ol' Al Adamson had a definitive victor with Dracula vs Frankenstein

And, what the heck. How about some eye-candy for day #1:

I kicked off my viewing today with Jaws III. I enjoyed it, and don't understand it's bad rap, but then, I've always been a sucker for shark movies.

I'm ashamed to admit I was about 20 minutes into the movie before it dawned on me that I should've known who Gloria Grahame was, since I see her every December.

Policewomen was the one I remembered, but I think I've seen her in something else also. I'd have to check IMDb.

I watched that in 3D last week (I'd only seen it in 2D before), and liked it a lot more than I remembered. There were lots of great, cheesy, things-sticking-out-of-the-screen effects in it. Unfortunately, the copy I watched wasn't that great (at least it wasn't anaglyph), but it looks like no one is interested in releasing an official 3D Blu-ray anytime soon.

Thanks! She's doing incredibly well. Surgery was this past Monday (3/28) and yesterday in therapy she had 108 degree compression and *full* extension! With her first one she didn't achieve those results until the 3rd or 4th week or therapy. Her pain level is so low it's managable with Tylenol and ice packs.

I finished Jungle Jim (1937) this morning. It, too, was pretty good and I enjoyed the "reading a comic to get you up to speed" opens (it's a shot of hands holding the comic section of the paper which opens and the camera zooms in on and pan across the "Jungle Jim" strip containing 4 panels describing what's happened thus far). It was a bit heavy on repeat stuff and had quite a bit of "sameness" to the episodes but still managed to hold interest. I also questioned why our "Lost heiress/White Queen" wasn't more physical and able to handle little things like jumping off a 5 foot wall without help. You'd have thought living in the jungle for 10+ years would have hardened her greatly. Still, it was fun with Grant Withers making a good "Jungle Jim."

Watching yesterday's Lost City of the Jungle with Keye Luke caused me to remember I still have a couple of Charlie Chan movie sets I've not yet opened as well as the Mr. Moto sets. I think I'll move to them next and use them to break up the serials a bit.

Funny, it was the B-movie aspect that attracted me to this challenge in the first place 3 or 4 years ago. I probably would not have gave it a second look otherwise. I owned hundreds of B-movies and needed to be forced to sit down and watch them, not just collect them.

I just watched this myself for the first time about a week ago. I bought it on iTunes really cheap. I really need to sit and watch Plan 9 From Outer Space again this year.

I just finished watching Argento's Dracula 3-D on my new 4K screen in 3D. Mmmm, mmm, mm, mm, mmmm!

You absolutely HAVE to watch Jaws: The Revenge then! Hopefully you can get your hands on a good copy.

Jaws 4 is the subject of one of my favorite quotes ever.

“I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific.” [Michael Caine on Jaws: The Revenge]

Is it an abosolute necessity to watch the Zatoichi TV series first, or is the 26th film (Zatoichi) a standalone that you can jump right into? Been itching to see it.

Knocked out two more Charlie Chan films today, I'm gonna switch to something else so I don't get burned out on them. Flipping through my DVD collection now looking for ideas. Maybe something martial-arty or Skinemaxy...nah, I'll do one of the Stooges' early non-short films. Gold Raiders, maybe. Or not. So many possibilities.

Much appreciated. I was scrambling to find some good playlists on yt earlier and it looks like this should cover it. Quite a few gems in there. Diary of a Sinner is one of the strangest bromance films I've ever seen. Not to mention, a killer funky theme song.

The acting is definitely a little stiff, but it has a great Dracula, and the girls are definitely not hard to look at (especially in 3D!)
