I like The Man's response-if you feel like it follows the spirit of the Animation challenge, you can count it; if not, use your wild card or watch and just not count it.

I'm wanting to say it's from either the original three-part mini-series, "More Than Meets the Eye" or the S1 three-parter "The Ultimate Doom". I'm finally into the last quarter of S2. At this point, most of the episodes blur together.
I can pick out some gems, but on the whole I have to confess this is becoming a bit of a slag. I attribute it not so much to the era or low standards for kids entertainment so much as the nature of episodic TV in general. Writers had to wrap up everything tidily by the end of each episode so that anyone tuning in for the first time wouldn't feel lost - and so that, in reruns, episodes could be aired out of order without any meaningful disruption to viewers.
Sometimes Megatron's motivation is to gather energy; sometimes it's more generic conquest. Often, it's conquest in the pursuit of energy or the pursuit of energy in the course of conquest. The aforementioned insult-laden dialog became tedious several episodes ago. Warpath is especially obnoxious, randomly spouting things like "Blam!" and "Wowee!" in the middle of his sentences for reasons I'll never understand. At least there's Perceptor, who speaks with actual intelligence, even if it's mostly technobabble.

I got my first movie selections in the mail from the Disney Movie Club. Watching "Conjunction Junction" from Schoolhouse Rock right now. Other eligible titles I got were Season 2 Volume 2 of Gargoyles, as well as Frozen. Planning to focus on Disney through DVDs and Netflix for a while now.

I have been gorging myself on episodes of The Venture Bros., especially now that I've hit season 4 which I've never seen before. The show's humor is getting a darker and edgier. I mean a recovering pedophile is now a main character; that's... odd. It's odd. It make me feel odd for liking the show as much as I do.

After a couple shorts of Schoolhouse Rock, I followed with a ouple more episodes of Gargoyles, from Season 2 Volume 1 to work toward starting Volume 2, and I ended the afternoon with Frozen. I could see why it was an Oscar winner, and the songs were beautiful, especially 'Let it Go'.

So, I picked up the Cinderella sequels fairly cheaply recently. Haven't watched either one till now. Watching II right now and you can really tell they didn't put much money into it. Animation is very basic (faces a blur when they can get away with it, not bothering to be consistent-like the king gets covered in chocolate pudding, it's dripping off. While still focused on him, the chocolate disappears completely with him not cleaning up at all.) It seems to be broken up into short stories, so at least it feels like this is going by quickly!

I decided to start my day off with a Schoolhouse Rock short, 'Lolly, Lolly, Lolly Get Your Adverbs Here. I always liked those songs on Saturday mornings as a kid. This DVD is really bringing me back.

What's with all these obscene images from children's programming in this thread?

I finally made my way to the end of The Transformers S2 early this morning. In addition to the Dinobots (who sadly stop appearing about a third of the way into the season), I always dug Alpha Trion and the female Autobots. Standout episodes include "The Search for Alpha Trion", "The Key to Vector Sigma, Parts 1 & 2", and "War Dawn", in which the Aerialbots are sent back in time and witness Alpha Trion turn Orion Pax into Optimus Prime.
Next up is the movie, which I've seen something like a zillion times over the last 28 years. This will be the first time since 1986, though, that I'll see it in the context of the rest of the show in this order. I might get to that later tonight. We'll see. The middle section of S2 was a chore, and my brain is mush right now.

I just finished Disc 1 of Season 2 Volume 1 of Gargoyles. So far my favorite episode in the set has been 'Leader of the Pack', as I always enjoyed the Pack episodes.

I ended up starting Green Lantern: The Animated Series in spite of other plans. It's only 25 episodes, though, and really good, so eh, why not.

I've found it's much easier for me to marathon Family Guy than it is for Futurama. It's not helping that they seem to be recycling certain themes over and over, especially between Fry and Leela.
I'm on last volume of Futurama now and after that I'm watching:
The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad
The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms
Something Weird Video: V For Victory Cartoons
I think I may be caught up with animation from my stuff, so I'd be raiding stuff from my kid's section of movies/shows. Probably stick with movies since it's near the end of the challenge.

I took a break from anime to watch "It All Started with a Mouse: The Disney Story" (1989), a feature-length documentary on Walt Disney that I taped off the Disney Channel 20-odd years ago. It starts off with a short biographical section on Disney and his studio from the early 1920s on and then puts most of its attention on SNOW WHITE and PINOCCHIO with extensive clips intercut with interviews with veteran Disney animators, including Ward Kimball, Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston as well as Disney scion Roy E. Disney. It then breezes through the 1950s and Disneyland and lands smack down in 1988 with clips from OLIVER AND COMPANY and WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT and interviews with Michael Eisner and Jeffrey Katzenberg, the then-new studio heads who express the philosophy they're bringing to the enterprise. No mention of THE LITTLE MERMAID, which was surely in production when they made this.
Definitely a public relations job and kind of all over the map in terms of subject matter, but the interviews with the veterans are really interesting as they talk about Disney's style and methods of working as well as lots of clips of Disney himself. Not a great documentary, but filled with some great stuff.

I just finished watching "Watershiop Down" and that was kind of a downer. Very, very bloody. I knew going in that it was going to be violent but wasn't expecting that so much. Maybe because they're cute rabbits otherwise? It was pretty slow for me for most of it and I had to kind of wake myself up during parts but I did make it through.

I have other examples of Russian animation in my collection: THE MAGIC PONY and THE SNOW QUEEN have both been released in English-dubbed versions and are probably both on YouTube.
There was another one that I have as an extra on a Russian film DVD that I watched during my very first Animation Challenge back in 2010. The Fisherman and something... I'll have to look it up. It was 30 minutes and made around 1950 and very beautifully animated.

I've been watching a lot of excellent stuff. I finished season four of The Venture Bros. which is a favorite show. Now I need to obtain the fifth season; unfortunately, it's not streaming.
I also continued watching Le Chevalier D'Eon which is quite enjoyable. I like stories that meld history with fantasy in interesting ways, and this show does just that. I seems that the fantastical elements of the story are not commonplace but the work of dedicated people dredging up past spiritual practices. I'm halfway through the show, and I cannot wait to see where it goes.

I'm not familiar with the Transformers thing, but if it's legit, it could be some kind of Heimlich maneuver.
