I have a question about TV shows. I see that you need to watch 2 hours of a tv show for it to count as a movie, but that includes commercials. What if you're watching a TV show on Netflix, that originally aired with commercials? For example, I was thinking of watching The Walking Dead during October, which is a 45 minute show, but obviously doesn't have commercials when streaming Netflix. If I watch 2 episodes will that count for a movie?

Yeah that is how it works. The 2 hour requirement includes the commercial time so 2 1 hour (45-50 minutes without commercial) would equal a full entry.Originally Posted by DaveyJoe

No release date for The Conjuring yet? Would like to have it for the challenge.

Despite the negative word of mouth, I too am curious about [Rec]3. The first two were great.

Alright, to make this as uncomplicated as possible, I'm going to give the people who need to provide more picks (or haven't at all), what unclaimed themes remain, and what I have so far of the subset list.
And can we PLEASE just get the remaining two one volunteers already? All you gotta do is pick some films that sync up with the themes I'm about to post and try to make sure they're streaming somewhere.

I figured a horror themed giveaway would be an appropriate reason for some shameless self promotion here. Later this week I'll be posting my blog's 300th entry and to celebrate and say thank you to everyone that has read it I'll be doing some sort of giveaway (I haven't decided what the prize will be yet) through the Facebook page. It won't be difficult and anyone that "likes" the page will be eligible to enter. This giveaway is totally separate from the prizes I'm sponsoring for the OHC but I figured some extra horror freebies are always fun.
Here's the link to the Facebook page where I'll be posting more details later this week. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cellu...54481607934543

Cool, thanks. I don't know if it's any good, but it's been in my queue since at least last October, and I want to watch it while I can. Plus, it should be good for a few checks on the checklist (too bad "Watch an animated film" is no longer on it).Originally Posted by Chad

I'll take the last slot. Watch this spot; I'll be back after I dig up a couple streaming "death by decapitation" picks.
Okay, how 'bout Severance or Battle Royale -- both are streaming on Netflix, and it doesn't look like either has been a subset pick before.

Yay! One of my suggestions was acceptable!
Since we have also been making recommendations, I'd like to toss out another title: The Baby. It's available on Netflix streaming. I watched it a couple months ago after recording it off TCM. I wasn't expecting much, but I really liked it. It may not be the most frightening or the most graphic film out there, but I found it bizarre, genuinely creepy and disturbing. I'd be very interested to hear others' opinions on it.

I'd like to take Mystery Horror Films for the Subset and do "Mystery of the Wax Museum" (1933) which is on YouTube as well as the 1953 "House of Wax" DVD and Blu-Ray.
That is, as long as SterlingBen who was randomly assigned Mystery Horror Films doesn't mind. Otherwise I will make my pick for TV Horror as assigned.
