I'll be kicking things off with [Rec 2] and some beers. Then move on to a torrent I have downloaded of a movie not available on disc that I've been saving. No idea which one.

This is what I have on tap:

Insidious
Bio Zombie
Something Wicked This Way Comes
Santa Sangre
Slaughter High
Antichrist
House (Hausu)
Videodrome

Don't yet know the order or how many I'll actually get to, but that's the plan. Fully intend on taking advantage of the Saturday start date.

^Yeah, I guess it could be considered a Creature Feature. And people have often counted Jurassic Park in the past.

I'm excited to kick things off with The Black Cat, followed by Martin.

Well, that's what I hope, but plans could definitely change quick!

I started off doing a list of movies for actors/directors/composers and then figuring out what would get me the most checks in terms of crossovers and with the sub-genres and decade. Then I focused on remaining sub-genres followed. After that it was the ratings and any other cleanup. Klaus Kinski was a tough one as was the G rated one. Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 7th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/3

I was just looking over my Instant queue on Netflix and found that a few movies are ending their streaming on 10/1... How lame...

Ending 10/1 -
Laid to Rest
Dracula AD 1972
Borderland
Dead Alive

And a Tale of Two Sisters ends on October 6.

I'm looking at Creature from the Black lagoon as my #1 choice. Funny thing is, my #1 choice never turns out to be my #1 choice. So this is what i'm planning on.

Kicking things off tonight with Videodrome and Antichrist. Bought the Videodrome Criterion Blu-Ray during the last B&N sale and I've been saving it for this month.

Luckily I got two days off next week, so I'll be able to watch more then expected. I'm hoping to watch two tonight, I haven't even pulled titles from my shelves yet, 2 more hours.....Basket Case on blu is staring at me, that might be a good starting point.

Good choice but subtitles and beer never work out too well for me.

That's awesome MP, thanks for the work!

I've decided that I can't possibly resist this Challenge as much as I had planned, or should. Besides, all work and no play ...., right? So I've decided that I'll watch around one item per day.

I was going to watch the 31 film subset choices, thus completing two of the optional checklists; but your plan up there has me rethinking that. Either plan would probably force me to get Netflix, something I planned to never do again. Decisions decisions.

But for tonight, I just plan on enjoying House as midnight rolls in. I'll have all day tomorrow to decide in which direction to point my OCD.

I was going to kick it off with Orgy of the Dead at midnight then watch all four Phantasm films. Might toss in Gojira if I have time.

Starting off with The Vampire Bat. Incidentally, it also counts as my cult movie for the theme night, as Vampire Bat was listed on one of the sites that was linked to under the Cult movies linked, so I'm knocking my theme movie out right off the bat at midnight.

Chad, I hate to bring up minor nitpicks on a thread design so freaking beautiful, but I think I know that you won't mind.

Very top of thread shows "(Technically ends 9/1 at Dawn)" when you mean "11/1".

Checklist item for languages was partially changed I think, but still shows "other than English". Is it meant to be three total, or four total? I think it's always been three total.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 7th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/3

I love the lead up to go-time. But I'm so off my game this year. I haven't even decorated (or even copy-and-paste from last year) my list yet. No idea what to watch first. Last year set too a high a personal standard for me. This year will just be for fun and pleasure, and good company, of course.

I'll be taking it easy for REC 2 and ramping it up after that.

Here is how I'll be kicking off the best month of the year.

I thought about buying caramel apples like that earlier today, but I went for the Halloween Pop-Tarts instead.

Which for some reason are no longer called Choc-o-Lantern Pop-Tarts.

Now they're Spookylicious.

I'm looking to start with either The Blood Beast Terror, The Mummy's Shroud, or The Flesh and the Fiends. Right now The Blood Beast Terror has a very slight edge...

If I didn't have to wake up for work at 5:45am, I'd definitely be down to start up at midnight.
