Well, this should put an end to ridiculous Ebay auctions of the OOP Anchor Bay edition.
More upcoming 2011 releases

Just because an announcement went out doesn't necessarily mean most of the suckers know about it...
It's never too late.
Sold my new copy of Tron for $125 weeks after the release announcement.

Nice to hear about the Stuntman re-release. I sold my copy a long time ago and have been kicking myself.

I'm gonna hold off selling it until I see the list of extras. If they are the same, i'll probably sell. If different, i'll probably keep it and buy the new one.

Stupid idea. The price of the Anchor Bay version is sure to plummet. If anything, sell now and buy back the Anchor Bay version later.

And the documentary "The Sinister Saga of Making The Stunt Man" has always been easy to find as a separate DVD, which took away the urgency of the 2-Disc LE (except for numbered edition fanatics).

I can say I've had experiences where I've regretted prematurely selling old discs, though more with CDs than DVDs (most "remasters" are a con).

Yeah I just saw used copies on Amazon marketplace for as little as $15.00! I'm happy to keep mine though as I enjoy this film and the doc quite a bit-
I definately like to revisit the DVD-

HUMONGOUS is coming from Scorpion Releasing, as part of their new 'Katarina's Nightmare Theater' line, which also includes 'Final Exam', 'Human Experiments' and 'The House on Sorority Row'. The WWE wrestler (Katarina whoever) will do intros and out-ros for the films (which can also be watched without her stuff), but no Elvira-style interruptions. I'm quite looking forward to it :-)

I managed to sell mine for 25, so wasn't too upset. I bought it off Deepdiscount about 3-4 years ago in an AB sale and got it for 6 bucks.

So I made someone happy (hopefully) feeling they scored a good deal, and I got to upgrade to the new Bd for $6 out of pocket ($15.76 w/ the recent Borders coupon).
's all good.

Mondo-Digital has its review up for the Bd
When Anchor Bay lost the rights, the film lingered in limbo for a while before being snatched up by Severin for an updated, expanded release with a new HD transfer supervised by Rush himself. The DVD reissue is a fine choice, but more welcome is the Blu-Ray upgrade which represents a substantial boost in visual quality on every front. Apart from some of the opening shots (which are naturally grainy and obviously shot with an extreme zoom lens) and some very minor print damage here and there, it's an attractive, very filmic presentation with much more detail including some nice details visible in the period clothing used for the film-within-a-film shooting. The film certainly couldn't look any better outside a movie theater showing a mint print. The audio is even better, with some marvelous clarity during some dialogue scenes which were often muddled in previous mixes (especially the crew dinner scenes). The immersive surround mix is similar overall to the Anchor Bay one with gunfire and music filling the rear speakers, and the to DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio just makes it even sweeter. The original 2.0 stereo theatrical mix is included as well, along with the audio commentary,
