Don't do it on my account. That was just my opinion. As far as I know, formatting is welcome on this and all challenges. If anything, it makes the lists less monotonous to read.

I'm just using my own judgment. For instance, after getting frustrated with Ghost Hunters a couple of years ago for their complete lack of basic science protocol, I started watching it again. Technically, it isn't sci-fi, but it is on the sci-fi channel. It also isn't technically fantasy, but these guys live in a fantasy world. So I'm counting it.

Yes, I recommend that you do, though the payback is delayed until you get to the very end of episode 8 (Love, Honor, Obey). The big-ass reveal happens then and is the focus of episodes 9-13, which are all great.
Ironically, ABC's cancellation at episode 8 resulted in nobody seeing 9-13 until the DVD release, virtually ensuring that sales would be word-of-mouth only. I would strongly recommend sticking with it - I found it to definitely be worth it.

I'm trying to get through the checklist without duplicates. Gonna be difficult to do it and watch some of the stuff I'm wanting to watch.
I had to quit watching Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Just couldn't get into it.
LOVED Warehouse 13 Season 1. Can't wait to watch the eps of Season 2 I've DVR'ed!
And The Fly is incredible. Watched it for the first time in YEARS today!

I'm also trying to get through the checklist without duplicates and it is pretty challenging. I've ended up watching a few shows that weren't my first choice but they were available and helped fill a spot. I hope to go back once I've finished the checklist and watch a few things that I wish I could have watched at the beginning. Of course, by doing the checklist I've also found some good movies that I might have never watched.

Can't believe both the IMDB and allmovie don't have a Science Fiction listing for "Class of Nuke 'Em High". Even the back of the case says so and Lloyd Kaufman does not lie.
And sorry if this has already mentioned - there's a block of Sci-fi programming airing on TCM tomorrow starting at 6AM EST:
- The Manster (1962)
- The Killer Shrews (1959)
- The Wild, Wild Planet (1965)
- War of the Planets (1965)
- The Green Slime (1969)
- Soylent Green (1973)
- 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
- 2010 (1984)

Me too! But at least I got to experience it for the first time in HD. In fact, I was even impressed with the grandeur of the production values from the sequels ...especially considering how the budget was dropped considerable for each film.

I started the Buck Rogers set last year and only got a couple of episodes in before I put it down. Haven't gotten back to it since though I intended to for this year's challenge. It's one of those shows I have fond memories of from being a kid, but it hasn't managed to hold the same appeal re-watching it now.

King Kong was on TCM last night. Regrettably, it was not in HD on TCMHD. It looked identical to my DVD but with DNR to remove the grain. I was hoping they were going to preview the Blu-ray transfer.

As far as Japanese guy-in-a-rubber-suit kaiju go, The Green Slime still holds up pretty well after 41 years, and it has IMO the single greatest theme song ever. I wonder why it has never received a DVD release.

Are alternate reality movies considered in the parallel universe subcategory? For instance a movie that has time travel that changes the reality, like the new Star Trek, Back to the Future II or Donnie Darko.

Wow, Superman Returns was really boring. Never been a fan of him in general but I finally sat through the first one a few months ago and didn't think it was that bad. This was. And it was long.
