Escape From LA - 2006 CA release???
I noticed a 2006 Canadian DVD release of Escape from LA listed on Amazon.ca, but there's little to no info about it. Is it an anamorphic transfer? I've been itching for a BD release, but I'd take this in the meantime since there's no BD release planned anywhere in the world. I despise matted releases. Escape From NY has seen multiple DVD release in the US and other countries but LA gets ignored.

btw, is there any place else that sells this release? "Ships in 2-3 weeks" is unacceptable.

No, it's not anamorphic. I've see them at HMV and Future Shop. $8.99 is a good price.
Check eBay too. HMV shows there is a BD release scheduled for March 29 2010 in the UK.
