Escape From LA - 2006 CA release???
 

I noticed a 2006 Canadian DVD release of Escape from LA listed on Amazon.ca, but there's little to no info about it. Is it an anamorphic transfer? I've been itching for a BD release, but I'd take this in the meantime since there's no BD release planned anywhere in the world. I despise matted releases. Escape From NY has seen multiple DVD release in the US and other countries but LA gets ignored. :(

btw, is there any place else that sells this release? "Ships in 2-3 weeks" is unacceptable.

No, it's not anamorphic. I've see them at HMV and Future Shop. $8.99 is a good price.
Check eBay too. HMV shows there is a BD release scheduled for March 29 2010 in the UK.
