Re: Spring Break (1983) - 8/18/09!!

This movie is available to stream in HD on Netflix and I just watched it for the first time last night. I have to admit that I knew about this movie but somehow never saw it back in the day (I was always a Hardbodies, Hot Dog fan, myself).

For those who have recently watched this, did it appear to be the most unintentional homo-erotic T&A film ever? There were so many scenes of guys hugging, guys in their underwear, guys in each other's faces, etc. that I thought I must have been watching the wrong movie several times. It made the pissing scene even funnier in this context. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

Terrible movie by the way. Just didn't seem to have the charm of other 80's T&A films released at the time but again, I didn't have the nostalgia for this film. I just watched my copy of Hardbodies and granted, it didn't set the world on fire but it just didn't seem quite as dumb as this one (and nowhere near as gay ).

Corinne Alphen in a catsuit trumps all homoeroticism.

Interestingly, I caught both Spring Break and Hardbodies in the drive in, back in the day. Personally, my buddies and I always found Spring Break to be the more entertaining of the two movies. Some of the supporting characters are just more memorable. Esh the bellhop and the dope dealer in the van, just to name two.

I always got a kick from the fact it was directed by Sean Cunningham (Friday the 13th).
