Fuck yea. Easily in my top 3 DVDs that badly needed a new edition. Glad to see they've packed this one to the gills. I hope they include some kind of tribue to Winston.

It's cheesy-good-fun
A couple months ago I picked up the R2 release of the film (Widescreen but not anamorphic I believe). Hopefully this new edition will be both

Considering the original release was only in foolscreen, this should be a no brainer for anybody who already has it (provided the new release is anamorphic.)

A two-disc for the added featurettes would have been nice. Not sure about adding all these new features with the main movie on one disc.

I imported the cheap UK anamorphic disc a couple of years ago, and it totally blows the old R1 MGM disc away. Hope this new one will look as good or better (Blu-Ray?).
Kinda find it funny on that Amazon listing that it says

one of my favorite horror movies ever. I'll never forget my dad taping this thinking it was some kid-friendly Halloween oriented movie and then my mom and I (at age 10) sat down and watched it, rofl!!!

So glad this was finally announced, too bad no Stan Winston commentary...

Too bad no Blu-ray was announced for this one or Child's Play. I have R2 imports of both in Widescreen, but I'm guessing these transfers will top those greatly and I'd be hard-pressed not to double dip.
That said, the lenticular release of the prior editions have been out for a while for both Pumpkinhead and Child's Play... so they're essentially just going to glue the old ones onto new slipcovers...

Amen to that. I'm all over this release.
