Fuck yea. Easily in my top 3 DVDs that badly needed a new edition. Glad to see they've packed this one to the gills. I hope they include some kind of tribue to Winston.

Is Pumpkinhead good? I have heard about it but the premise seems so cheesey it can't possibly be good I thought, but it looks like you guys are excited.

It's cheesy-good-fun

A couple months ago I picked up the R2 release of the film (Widescreen but not anamorphic I believe). Hopefully this new edition will be both

It rocks. The main draw of the film is, obviously, the amazing FX work by Winston's crew. The creature is badass. As a film it falls into many of the conventions of 80's horror, but that's part of what makes it so damn good. For fans of creature features you can't possibly go wrong.

Outstanding! Great news.

And yes, it is that good (in a slightly cheezy 80's way).

If this one didn't have the tagline, I'd say I like it slightly more.

Considering the original release was only in foolscreen, this should be a no brainer for anybody who already has it (provided the new release is anamorphic.)

A two-disc for the added featurettes would have been nice. Not sure about adding all these new features with the main movie on one disc.

It should probably be noted that the cover art is lenticular, and that posts #11 and #17 are what you will see.

I imported the cheap UK anamorphic disc a couple of years ago, and it totally blows the old R1 MGM disc away. Hope this new one will look as good or better (Blu-Ray?).

Kinda find it funny on that Amazon listing that it says
Pumpkinhead
Starring: Pumpkinhead

one of my favorite horror movies ever. I'll never forget my dad taping this thinking it was some kid-friendly Halloween oriented movie and then my mom and I (at age 10) sat down and watched it, rofl!!!

With his passing there never will be either.

Too bad no Blu-ray was announced for this one or Child's Play. I have R2 imports of both in Widescreen, but I'm guessing these transfers will top those greatly and I'd be hard-pressed not to double dip.

That said, the lenticular release of the prior editions have been out for a while for both Pumpkinhead and Child's Play... so they're essentially just going to glue the old ones onto new slipcovers...

Amen to that. I'm all over this release.

That was a nasty trick they pulled with the lenticular cover. I started the movie and foolscreen appeared, couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at the case. Learned my lesson though.
