If the kid wants to touch his own DVDs that is fine. But the first time it goes for one of my Disney DVDs or whatever a kid might wanna watch... Well I rather not say... One day when my kid goes missing I don't want this post to be my confession.

My kids have unlimited access to my Disney collection (well, not the Treasures ), my Looney Tunes Golden Collection and my Tom & Jerry Spotlight Collections. Both the 6 year old and the 4 y.o. love to go through the collections, trying to figure out which discs they haven't watched recently.

They know how to remove the disc from the case -- although the centre spindles sometimes befuddle the 4 y.o. -- take the old disc out of the player and replace it in the case and then insert the new disc in the player.

Not a scratch on any of the discs, plus it means that *I* don't have to be bending down all the time to put the discs in.

Look at it this way -- somehow or other you learned how to handle a disc.

It's a limited signed and number screen print. Sadly they sold out within in the first day they were put online. You might have to do a little digging to find one but expect to pay anywhere around $100-$200 for it. I can attest that if you like artwork it is entirely worth it. The print looks amazing in person.

just search for il grande lebowski by tyler stout. If you like his work you might also want to bookmark his website because he gets contracted out to do these kind of limited prints for movies often. He just recently did Inglorious Basterds and Total Recall which I wanted really bad but I don't really have the wall space.

110" screen - due to the space it was the largest i could get.

And it was the little ones first time in the theater so he was exploring... normally touching the screen is a no-no, but i figured it couldn't do any damage.

A closer look at the dvd towers
http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/865/img0087gq.jpg

The two towers on the left are movies, (A to Z) and the one on the right is music and TV.
I'm just a little bothered by the box-sets on top of stuff (arranged mostly randomly) - I don't like clutter and it's like Jenga up on top there.

BTW, that's about 1,600 dvds/blurays, with room for about 400 more.
I think these towers allow for the most amount of dvds in the least amount of space. Otherwise, it'd be two whole walls of dvd shelves instead of just that corner.

That's a pretty awesome setup and those DVD towers seem great. I love the Alfred Hitchcock posters as well.

Thanks. There's also an African Queen poster on the right, hiding behind the towers.

Great pics as always, dkedvd. And I'm with you on Pokeman. I'm 33 and I love the animation. I only have about 4 DVDs myself. A very underated show.

Really? Is there another Pokemon show with better animation? The one I've seen has absolutley horrible animation.

Didn't say it was good, just that I love it. Look at the 1980's cartoons, they were horribly drawn as well (the majority). I prefer enjoyment over quality when it comes to Saturday morning. But your point is well taken.

Some of the movies, to be fair, had great animation.

Even though the show's animation is not as great as it could be the character designs were always at the very least interesting to behold.

I've never posted photos of my DVD collection, so here's a first. I'll post close-ups of the actual dvds later. But those are my DVD cabinets!

As much as I enjoyed BASTURDS, The Big Lebowski poster is more appealing...I'm not gonna pay more than $100 for it though...

I would keep an eye out on Ebay then and see if you can snag one in your price range.

Like I said it's money well spent, it's a really nice 24x36 screen print.

Thanks! And yeah, they are kitchen cabinets - my living room (left side) cabinetry merges into my kitchen (right side not shown) cabinetry...so left side cabinets are all for dvds and right side gets the dishes!

yup, the Tartan NTSC UK DVD is the one I have. I actually found another one(I had found it used for $4 at a local DVD store) and offered it for sale on here, but it sold quickly. Sorry!
