Very nice set-up, if you are a 19-year old college kid you must live at home & have mommy & daddy paying the bills, to have that much stuff & be that clean. I'm not knockin' it, I'm just jealous, I lived in a dorm that smelled like hell's-anus, I still have 3 roomates.
Your pics & mine have a lot of the same stuff, anyone who has Buffy, Angel, & The Wire box sets is a man of great taste. Oh yeah, & Lost figures. Wish they would do a Sayid figure, he is my favorite character. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/f...s/DSC00385.jpg And, hey, your right... my Mom does help out a lot. I don't know what I would do without her. My older sister is an amazing help too. It's hard to believe it but a few years ago my mom spent around a year in the hospital and now she is doing well. My father is deceased, and has been since I was 9. I purchase all of the Blu's/HD's myself along with a good portion of my DVD's, a lot were also gifts, and while I make household contributions of a few thousand a year (and I help buy gas/groceries/etc. on occasion) it isn't really enough... I have a very loving family and feel like a very lucky person. As for me being clean, I've been clean since as long as I can remember so I don't know if there's a specific reason to that or not. I also paid for the Home Theater setup so at least I paid for most of my own things. |

What are those box sets on the shelf below your HBO DVDs & on the bottom left shelf? Can you do a close up pic? |
Re: Post pics of your DVD collection and HT, Part 12
I'll try and take some more pictures of the collection. There is a lot blocked by the DVD's in the front... I really need better storage units eventually.
Underneath the HBO DVD's is a lot of anime sets like Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Shamploo, Trigun, etc. The bottom left shelf is some more anime and more animation like Loony Tunes, Home Movies, Futurama, Samurai Jack, etc. Is that what you were asking about? I'll get better pictures soon. Oh, and Charlie was my second favorite character after Locke. I was really sad to see him go. Still am, actually... the Season 3 finale aired the day of my High School Graduation so it was really both a sad and awesome day. I felt like I lost a lot of my real life friends as well as one of my favorite characters in TV. But the episode itself was one of my Top 5 all time favorites, and as it's my favorite program it was like a nice present. |

Sweet setup, but you still haven't addressed the really wide yet really short bed that you have.

Or I could be totally wrong and he has two wooden legs he removes at night. |

I think I can address this for him. The placement of his pillows does not make his bed wider or shorter and does not constrain the direction in which he can sleep. Crazy thought I know.

Re: Post pics of your DVD collection and HT, Part 12
To clarify on my pillow post, I hope I have made it clear that I do not have threesomes with midgets.
And as for Spirited Away: it is one of my all time favorites. It's in my top ten. I would probably rank it as #2 to Back to the Future (I need a poster for that still). All Miyazaki films are masterpieces though so selecting just one is a bit trying though my definite favorites are Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. I would suggest joining the Disney movie club if you are looking for some relatively affordable Studio Ghibli movies (Miyazaki's films and some of Isao Takahata's). You should probably be able to take Spirited Away as an enrollment title. And they have a lot to choose from that you could use to fulfill your account and once your a preferred member they have some good sales sometimes that can get you these release for only around $9 each which isn't that bad. Check the DVD Clubs forum in the Bargain Section for more details. |

Re: Post pics of your DVD collection and HT, Part 12
You won't find a better price, as far as I know, on Spirited Away used as opposed to buying it new through the Disney Movie Club. I highly recommend you look into that if you want other Miyazaki movies as well.

New, but if I have to, I don't mind getting it used. But the problem with that is that I'm very picky about the case being in good condition. I've bought a used BD before and the case was all messed up so I bought extra case's, so I feel fine buying used BD's. But I don't have any back up case's for DVD.

Re: Post pics of your DVD collection and HT, Part 12
Been hanging on to a 15" touch screen lcd for a while. Trying to find the best way to make it look like a digital photo frame, since it didn't come with a frame/stand at all.
Found a broken LG monitor of the same size and luckily it had a VESA mount stand. http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k7...047800x600.jpg Now it's attached to my VMC + Bravia setup and I can use it to perform maintainence without turning on the Bravia. Also, I can do photo slideshows and music playback in a more sublte manner than the Bravia. I still need to find a frame to stick to the front of the screen though. http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k7...048800x600.jpg Now I just hope Windows 7 brings some cool touch screen and Media Center features. |

- where did you get the touch screen? - what is the purpose of a touch screen for your tv? Sometimes my wife and I just want to see whats on TV, without turning the TV on. I can check the Media Center TV guide by hand. If I want to perform any sort of maintainence on the Media Center while my wife is on the Wii or watching TV from the built in tuner, I can do so without disturbing her. The interface isn't anywhere near perfect with Vista, so I'm hanging out for Windows 7, as some of the features in that would make it much easier for my wife to add photos/music and much more with the Media Center. |

He's got the Pinky Violence collection proudly on display ..so he's ok in my book.
It's probably one of the more realistic displays I've seen ..so much in fact I think I'll show off my own modest (and very unclean TV monitor [shudders]) set up. But I do have a beautiful new Piano Glossy black Pioneer SC-05 buried in there somewhere!! http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...r/PE-Equip.jpg Bigger picture on my blog ... |
