Maybe in the near future, there will be "Complete Series" edition in collectible coffin??? Since it has only two seasons.

They changed the name, dropped the sex, violence and most of the gore.
Its like making a Twlight Zone for kids.

This is not correct. The show, just like "masters of horror" was pretty much made for the DVD market and then aired on TV. The versions shown on TV will be edited while the DVDs will be uncut. I believe Lionsgate is handling the DVDs of these when they drop.

Any proof of this or is it just speculation? Everything I have read is that it will be tamed down.

I'm just going by what I was told...if something is different, hey, not my fault. And what? Emasculation playhouse? So people who are emasculated are going to put on a show for me? Wow, cool! Free show! The theater and the movies are so expensive these days, gotta take it where I can get it. Can I bring popcorn? I promise I won't chew too loud. But if the show sucks, I may throw it.

TV Shows on DVD posted this studio photo of how the discs are going to be housed inside the skull packaging...

Not very smart in my opinion considering the discs have no protective holder and it seems they're right up against each other enabling them to scratch easily. The season one set has envelope style holders and they're easy to get out when you want to watch them; this just looks frustrating.

I bought all thirteen individual discs of season two with excellent artwork so there is really no reason for me to double dip.

^ That's about what I expected. I've seen this packaging firsthand, so I knew it would be like this. No big deal. As long as nothing is scratched when I get it I shouldn't have any problem keeping the discs clean.

There's gotta be a way to keep the disc from rubbing during shipping. No way would they ship it in the manner that we see in the pic. Discs would be bouncing all over the place.

Plus it would mess with those of us who do the "shake shake" floater test

best packaging for a dvd box i've seen in a long time

nice

i want to wait until this goes on sale for more like $35-40 but i am tempted to just pre-order it.

i only really hated one ep from S1 but i haven't seen any of S2 yet.

as soon as i saw this, i took all the discs out of my Netlix Q, since now i know i'll buy the whole set

Finally I can justify purchasing season 2 despite not living up to the original season's quality. They should re-release season 1 in a spinal case with a lower jawbone where you could place this set on top...something like this:

(Discs would fit in the bottom portion)

Since that'll never happen I just might take my personal "best of" episodes from BOTH seasons and house them in that baby! Yes, I'm pretty much buying it solely for the packaging.

They displayed this at Comic-Con, so I took a better pic of how the discs are housed in the skull. If you click the pic, you will see there are slots (or grooves) where the discs slide in.

So I just bought this today at Best Buy, take it home, and find only 11 discs. Odd, then I realize it's the episode Family that's missing.

Well then I counted the grooves in the skull, and counted 11 grooves. Anyone else have this problem? Kinda sucks, was looking forward to this for a long time since I havn't seen any of these episodes yet and loved season 1.

Edit: here's the proof, count the grooves

I have not seen the actual set but DVD empire lists it as 11 disks.
There should be a total of 13 episodes.
My guess is 2 of the disks have 2 episodes each on them.

That is correct. Two of the disks are flippers w/ no art work. I know that Pro-Life and Family are 2 of the 4 - I just don't remember what episodes they are paired with.

^Are all the extras present on this release then? (Are all the extras on there that are supposed to be there on the flipper disks?)

Oh wow, I feel like an idiot. I guess I've just been trained in the dvd mentality that a flipper disc is usually the extras on the other side.

Next time I'll look closer before coming runnning for help from you guess, but thank you! Overall I'm glad I bought it since it's cheaper than buying them all individually, and I know some episodes aren't quite so good, but it's fun watching them all for the first time.
