Received a nice package of TNA dvds courtesy of Wrestlingflix today. But boy did I ever eat a bullet on the customs charges. Oh well still as cheap as trying to get them thru a retailer up here. That does also leave me with an extra copy of Hard Justice 07 and Final Resolution 06 is anyone is interested.

That probably means I'll be getting my Wrestling Flix order tomorrow. How much did you get nailed? I'm afraid, cause I think I ordered like 6 DVDs from them...

I too have found the Royal Rumble with #4 of 4 card pack at multiple stores. Yes it has the sticker on the wrapper stating that such is included. I don't know what's the big deal about it-I guess if you buy them and keep them MIB or you collect the cards....someone explain it to me.

I mean, really, I'm not gonna go and spend $20 on a DVD that xage from the DVD Talk Forum is rare. ;D

Can someone explain the custom charges for those of you outside of the US receiving packages from the US. I sell on ebay from time to time, and an international buyer got pissed at me for writing the amount he paid for the item+ the shipping in the "Value" box. I had no idea this was an issue, as that's what I do for packages I send domestic.

Ever since then, no matter how much the person paid for it, I put the "value" as $10 or $15 and have gotten nothing but + on ebay for doing it.

Tell me if I have this right-if I send a package with 3 DVDs, and write in the value box that they're worth $100, the buyer then has to pay tax on $100 in custom charges?

And on the other hand, if I wrote $10 in the value box, the buyer would pay custom charges on the $10, which would be much lower than if I wrote $100.

Is that the way it works?

Oh, and I ordered from Wrestlingflix a few months back and the guy didn't even SHIP the DVDs until 10 days after I ordered. I haven't ordered from them since, and don't plan on ordering from them anytime soon, unless they have a 1 cent sale on DVDs.

It's pretty much the same cover as last year's show:

Celebrity match at the top, Cena on the right, and Undertaker on the left.

Had a good day today at circuit city, completed my 2007 wwe ppv dvd collection picked up NYR 07 and almost finished of the 2006 ppv collection got survivor series 06, they didn't have backlash 06. They had the 3 pack of summerslam 04 05 and 06, i almost got it but I have 05 and 06 and with the summerslam anthology coming out this summer I decided to wait. Did anyone see the the new ROH dvds thats what I was really looking for but no one had them, best buy, CC etc., guess I'll have to get them online.

What you write on the package I don't think really matters too much. I ordered 9 dvds which cost me about 13 a piece so after conversion I paid about $130 dollars. Wrestlingflix wrote the value of $60 on the outside of the box. When customs opened the package they decided that the value of the package was $270CAD(don't know where they get their figures from) and proceeded to charge me 6% in duty ($16.20) and then GST($14.31) and PST($22.90) and a handling charge($5) for a total of $58.41CAD.

Long and short of it, what you write won't matter because if they open it customs will assign their own value to it.

Yeah I ordered in the first couple days of March and they just arrived today. I did get an email about 2 weeks after the order was made to apologize for the delay and that they had been shipped. They at least made the effort to let me know that it was delayed. All in all it was an good experience, the customs charge sucked but that's not the sellers fault.

Wow, that's bullshit on the duty and taxes. I hope I won't get bent over as bad as you did. Wrestling Flix was also extremely late shipping mine. It took two weeks for them to even ship my order. They really have nothing else I need, so I won't need to use them again.

On the other hand, the service at Wrestling Superstore.com was okay. My sealed Victory Road 06 arrived today, although they said they were going to charge 10.00 for shipping and actually charged me 12.00. The actual cost of shipping on the outside of the package was 1.62. Why is everyone such a fucking crook?

Do you really need someone to explain this to you?

You've been here long enough to know there are collectors in this forum who enjoy that type of shit. Me included. I bought the last 3 and would have liked to complete the collection, But for some odd reason they decided to make it a little more difficult then the last 3 sets.

And, I assume they have a sticker advertising the cards if one is lucky enough to come across one. I tell ya, What exactly is the point of running an exclusive like that. I mean who gains from that kind of thing besides places like ebay. It's just plain stupid.
And with that said. Some guy is selling a sealed copy w/card set 4 of 4 for 80 bucks over at our favorite neighborhood auction site. Oh brother.

That's a sweet line up for The Rock dvd, but the blurring will be attrocious.

Yeah, that is a pretty solid lineup for Rock, but due to the blurring, I doubt I will pick it up unless I find it used for cheap.

It's a pretty solid lineup. It doesn't have any real surprises, which would have been nice. I think you can tell how WWE was painted into a corner with the set since Rock wasn't only really hot for about 3 1/2 years straight, so there's only so much to choose from. If the blurring is anything like the ladder match DVD, it might not be so bad. Nice to see matches with Kane and Eddie Guerrero, those were two nice little surprises. The match with Jericho from Royal Rumble was really weak, I would have rather seen the match from No Mercy 2001.

Thats a great lineup for the DVD.

I wish they included the Iron man match with HHH from JD 2000 and also the Buried alive match with Rock/Mankind vs. Big Show/Taker from SD in 1999.

But i like how they included rare matches from RAW and SD especially the Ladder match with Mankind and the Cage match with HHH from RAW.

It was more likely to appear on the HHH DVD that anything else, but I'm again disappointed to not see the 4-way match from WM 2000.

My string of luck continues, i went to Zellers and found a brand new copy of HHH: The Game for $10, i was just digging up the DVD bin and this DVD popped up. Another DVD i can cross of my list.

I remember i couldn't even find the KOCH version of the DVD in stores when it came out in 2002, and only the VHS. The one i found was the US version, so i guess KOCH didn't distribute the dvd.

I just need the following to complete my WWF DVDs:

1) Best of Wrestlemania (Attitude Collection)
2) Best of Survivor Series (Attitude Collection)
3) Undertaker: The Phenom (Attitude Collection)
4) Eve of Destruction (Attitude Collection)
5) Tables Ladders & Chairs (Attitude Collection)
6) Hardcore
7) Ringleaders Collection (Stone Cold Hell Yeah!, Rock: People's Champ and Foley: Hard Knocks, Cheap Pops)

With Wrestlemania XXIV coming out on Blu-Ray next month, what are the odds of WWE going back and releasing Royal Rumble & No Way Out on Blu-Ray as well? Since they were also in HD. Hopefully they do because I think they were both great shows and deserve to be in their original aspect ratio. One more thing, Why does the Blu-Ray cover say 2 Discs? The DVD cover lists 3 Discs. Did they go ahead and fit everything onto 2 for the Blu-Ray version or did they exclude things?

Im within the Los Angeles County.. and from the 8 Bestbuy stores I passed by since Feb.. not a freakin single one carries the said exclusive.

I was inquiring about this from Bestbuy and happen to be re-directed to their marketing department on what really went with the "4 of 4" Exclusive Bestbuy/Genius/TOPPS/WWE Royal Rumble 2008 offer..

Guess What? The said "exclusive" set has an approximate production run of 1000 and was randomly distributed nationwide.

It was that so hard.. and the approach here was that the target market was for those who followed the exclusive offer (which started back in Wrestlemania 23[1/4], SummerSlam 2007[2/4], SurvivorSeries 2007[3/4]). And these Bestbuy Marketing research group (to make the matter confusing and complicated) they also made use of the same SKU#8648813 of the regular Rumble and Bestbuy deliberately "DID NOT INCLUDE IT ON THEIR WEEKLY AD".

I don't think we will see RR2008 and NWO2008 on Blu-ray anytime soon. Just like how WM15 was the first DVD produced, they didn't release RR99 and St. Valentines Day Massacre 99 on DVD. WWE started to produce DVDs on a monthly basis starting with Backlash 2001 all the way up to now.

My guess is that disc 1 will be the entire event and disc 2 will be the HoF and extras.

The 3 disc version will be just like the previous WM releases; event will be spaced out between 2 discs with the 2nd disc having lots of extras while the 3rd is the HoF.
