not sure if this was posted yet but bigvision entertainment this week only has a huge sale on wrestling dvds. 50% off. A lot of good stuff at only 5 dollars. Not sure about shipping and all that but you can't pass up 5 dollars for a wrestling dvd.

I really like it. Much better than the previous artwork; gives a nice sense of scope to the main event.

That is cool. I was just commenting to my wife the other day how all of TNA's latest covers look so much alike.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I think I like the TNA cover better.

Thanks for the info..

I have alot of what they are selling. I might jump on the samoa joe before they were stars dvd. I've also been meaning to pick up that IWA: Puerto Rico dvd and that Religious Wrestling show called Ring of Glory. So this seems like a good time.

Pretty F'n cool if you ask me. You actually lugged your stuff all the way to the philippines? I would've been so damn nervous with it possibly being damaged on the way there or even worse being lost. Did you get any cool freebies.

Once again cool pics.

Use this link for an extra 5% off and free shipping. People said they didn't use a Visa and still got the discount, but I can't verify that.

I found a copy of the Best of TNA 2007 at FYE today, but it wasn't included in the "all TNA DVDs" sale. I pointed out to them that it's idiotic to have a TNA DVD not included in the sale, but they just said it was scanning in the computer at 24.99. Ah well, hopefully the sale will still be running at FYE next week..

WWEshop.com has WM24 3 disc and Blu-ray up for preorder.

jg352599 04-15-08 12:32 PM

Best buy in my area had the best of 2007 tna wrestling dvd its 14.99. They only had 4 copies. I thought that dvd was suppose to come out last week???? guy at fye says its coming out next week. Well I got it early, wish I could get the hardy boyz dvd early. http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/2350/tnabl7.th.jpg

Leechboy 04-15-08 01:58 PM

I went to 2 FYE's today and neither of them had any TNA dvds on sale. No displays, nothing. They did have an endcap of WWE discs all at full price. -ohbfrank-

fyebonusdisc 04-15-08 02:17 PM

according to silvervision's website, it appears the WrestleMania 24 dvd will be displayed in widescreen. I thought that was good news for those of us who have yet to make the move to blueray, considering WWE had cropped the last two DVD releases of PPVs.

BullGooseLoony 04-15-08 06:15 PM

Went to FYE today, where they did indeed had a TNA sale going on, though not everything was on sale (Victory Road '07, Genesis '06, for example). They had a copy of "The Best of 2007," but I'll just get it at Best Buy when it's actually released. The only reason I'm going to end up getting it is because I really want the KOTM match and Joe/Angle 4, but I have no interest in owning Slammiversary '07 or the absolutely horrid Hard Justice '07. Not to mention it's got Harris/Storm in a LMS match.

The REALLY good news is that I picked up Destination X '07 for $7.99, which is awesome because I really wanted to complete my Styles/Rhino and Sting/Abyss series, and this was a good steal.

I also got my hands on a copy of No Surrender '07, which I'm not sure if I'm gonna open. I might wait for it to go up in value and put it on ebay, or I might just keep it for myself. I haven't seen it in a while, though I am very intrigued by the Angle/Abyss steel cage match that's a bonus. Anyone know if that match was any good.

Any way, nice little haul, can't wait for Against All Odds '08 to come out.

JAROTO 04-15-08 09:01 PM

please help, what are the best tna ppv dvds of 2006 and 2007 (besides BFG)? and why?

In my humble opinion:

2006
Against All Odds
-Rhino vs. Abyss in a very entertaining "falls count anywhere" match
-Samoa Joe/AJ Styles/Christopher Daniels for the X Division Championship - rematch from "Unbreakable." Not as good as the first, but still a good match.
-Team 3D vs. Team Canada - It's like their feud with La Resistance...but with good workrate.
-Jeff Jarrett vs. Christian Cage - The first time on a TNA ppv where they ending just made you feeling good.

Lockdown
-Senshi vs. Christopher Daniels - not a great match, but it's still cool to see the former team-mates collide.
-Six-Way Xscape Match -Six of the X divisions best put on a fantastic little elimination match
-Samoa Joe vs. Sabu - Way too short, but still two of the stiffest guys in the game collide in a brutal little match.
-Team 3D (with Spike) vs. Team Canada in a "flag" match - Fast paced, entertaining stuff.
-Christian Cage vs. Abyss - One of the most action-packed, intense matches of the year. Just a treat, only equaled by the very next match...
-Sting, AJ Styles, Ron Killings, & Rhino vs. Jeff Jarrett, AMW, & Scott Steiner - "Wargames" returns with a bang; this is a fantastic brawl-filled spotfest full of great wrestling and action for 24 minutes.

Slammiversary
-6-way X Division Elimination match - 6 of the best compete to determine the ranking towards the x title, and they actually get 20 minutes to show their stuff!
-Kevin Nash vs. Chris Sabin - modern-day "david vs. goliath"- Sabin looks great here, and Nash competes well for a guy out of action for a year.
-AMW vs. Styles & Daniels - Great, GREAT tag team match.
-Samoa Joe vs. Scott Steiner - not as good as hyped, but if you were one of the people disgruntled after Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg, then THIS is the cure you're looking for.

No Surrender
This is a very under-rated show.

-Abyss vs. Raven vs. Brother Runt is actually a better match than the "Monster's Ball" a month later.
-Christian Cage vs. Rhino - these two proved they could have a great match without any weapons. Awesome psychology.
-AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels vs. LAX in an "Ultimate X" match. TNA's match of the year. That should say it all.
-Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett - for marquee value alone, this one is worth it.

Genesis
Some very questionable booking aside, this is a fantastic little card.

-Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin for the X Title - two of the best tear it up.
-Christian Cage vs. AJ Styles - a dream match in the undercard and a mini main event of sorts, this is also a fantastic little match.
-Sting vs. Abyss - their first, and purest match. Despite the strange finish, these two have a really awesome braw, worthy of main event status.
-Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle - way too short, but the match does feel like last 10 minutes of a great 30 minute match. So even though we're only getting the ending...what an ending.

2007

Destination X
Imagine a WCW ppv from 2000, but it's actually entertaining.

-LAX vs. Team 3-D in a very violent, fast-paced "Ghetto Brawl."
-AJ Styles vs. Rhino in "Elevation X," the best scaffold match ever.
-Kurt Angle vs. Scott Steiner - a dream match to be sure, these two worth very stiff to put on a nice little bout, despite a weak ending.
-Abyss vs. Sting in a "Last Rites" match. I'll be the first to admit, it's wrestlecrap all the way, but it's GREAT wrestlecrap.
-Christian Cage vs. Samoa Joe put on the most nailbiting TNA match of the year, and even though it doesn't have the ending we hope for, it's still riveting.

Sacrifice
I haven't seen this one in a while, but I'll say this much. The whole ppv is consistently good. Aside from Harris vs. Storm in a wonderful "Texas Death Match," you still get Sabin vs. Dutt vs. Lethal, Robert Roode vs. Jeff Jarrett, Christopher Daniels vs. Rhino, Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles (not their best, but still solid), and a short and sweet main event featuring Christian Cage vs. Sting vs. Kurt Angle.

Genesis
BFG '07 was a tough act to follow, but this one certainly tried.

-Abyss vs. Black Reign in an entertaining nodq match
-Team 3D vs. MCMG put on a classic tag match
-Jay Lethal vs. Sonjay Dutt in a very fast-paced, good ol fashioned x title match
-Samoa Joe vs. Robert Roode is a different match than either guy has put on, but they go well together.
-Christian Cage vs. Kaz - Hate to jump on the bandwagon, but as much as I think "Kaz"'s push has been a joke (Kaz is a dumb f*cking name, btw), this really is an amazing ladder match
-Kurt Angle & Kevin Nash vs. Booker T & Sting - It's got WCW written all over it, but it's entertaining. It's not as riveting as a Joe/Angle match or Angle vs. Sting, but it's very watchable.

Those are my top picks. Hope they're useful.

I picked up and watched Before They were Stars: CM Punk and I gotta say this is an amazing compolation and the extras are outstanding, especially the IWA retrospective. An amazing package for a great price (Got mine for $7.99)

The Blu-ray version was comfirmed 2 disc since its announcement; i am guessing the 1st disc is the entire event and extras, while the 2nd is the complete HoF. Looks like the only extra might be the 24 man battle royal which is dissappointing, i wish they include the Orton/Cena vs entire RAW roster, or the press conference or something. I am surprised they aren't going all out on extras like they did with previous WMs.

The 3 disc has the event spaced throughout 2 disc and the 3rd is the HoF, like all the other WM DVDs from the past.
