It's kinda sad that one of Brittany Murphy's final films with in fact an Asylum production.

And you thought those other Asylum movies looked cheap...

So where is their "parody" of Avatar?

The people that made Metal man also made a Batman rip-off called the Black Knight. I believe Metal Man is being released by SRS or Brain Damage

I was reading on The Asylum website that they may not be making "Mockbusters" anymore and are gonna focus more on SyFy channel monster/disaster of the week type movies and sex comedies. I am kinda sad to see the mockbusters going away. I actually like them

The sad thing is, a live action Mega Man movie put out by a major studio would suck just as bad as something put out by The Asylum.
Hey, at least he's getting some work.

Re: ASYLUM DVDs - Dont they get sued?
More time has passed and more Asylum movies have been released. Which if any of them are worth watching? At Walmart I picked up Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus and a double feature of War Of The Worlds 2 The Next Wave and Invasion Of The Pod People. I have a feeling...eh...sort of knowing, that these aren't great movies...yet I bought them anyway. Anything redeeming about them?

Interesting tactic they have... marketing says that the majority of Netflix users don't make it through the alphabet when looking for a movie, so they try to name all their films with a number or a letter from the first half of the alphabet.

I'm going to make a point of making my next Netflix stream something that's from the second half of the alphabet ... now I just feel bad for these titles

Re: ASYLUM DVDs - Dont they get sued?
I can't believe this thread is nine pages long.
I'd like to see Asylum start producing documentaries for the History Channel, so low-budget they can't afford clearances for footage, so they recreate everything with actors. D-Day filmed on the Jersey Shore. The Crusades filmed at a Renaissance festival. Gettysburg recreated with Civil War reenactors. (Oh, wait, didn't Ted Turner already do that?)
