According to a comment by Capone on AICN, Wes "may" put some of the deleted scenes back into the movie. Also confirmed (and re-confirmed) are the presence of many deleted scenes, the short film, and even outtakes from the short film. No date was mentioned.

I'd love to see the short film. That would be great.

I heard there were a couple scenes with Leslie Mann in it of Knocked Up.

It still may come out sooner on SD, the original rumor for this (and Darjeeling, if that's in the pipeline) was September.

This will be the reason I buy a Blu-Ray player... there aren't even any cool SFX. I love it.

*bump* So this is supposedly out in a week or so -- anyone heard any reviews of it yet? I've been waiting for this for what feels like years (and actually is!).

I have to say I do not like this transfer. The colors look terrible and washed out and darker.
WHat is it with Criterion and shitty transfers this year?

Interesting yellow color shift. I don't mind it really, but it is a bit unexpected. Whatshisname did supervise it, so I guess it's what he wants.

Are you sure you're looking at the right caps? On DVD Beaver, the Criterion screen caps (the ones on the bottom) look significantly brighter and with more vivid color than the darker, washed out Sony edition. On the Sony, the skin tones look practically gray in comparison.

You are right. I am wrong. I was looking at the wrong screencaps. My bad. I agree and apologize then. The Criterion looks pretty damn good.

Just imagine how much better the BD will (hopefully) look!

I already have this DVD on order, but I was wondering how is it (particularly, with extras)? I really like all of Anderson's other Criterions, but surprisingly, haven't got much feedback about this one.

My mom got me Bottle Rock for Christmas!

Sadly, it was the standard edition, which I already have.

don't look a gift horse in the mouth. or re-gift it to someone that would make a very good home for it

I'll probably give it to my little brother, he never turns down free stuff.
