I know they shot more (I'm from Jersey and they shot the Phil scene in front of my house) for the finale that didn't make it in. Will it be on the DVD...that is anyone's guess.

I think I'll hold off for now, as I don't have S5 or S6A. When the megaset is announced next year, I'll see if any exclusive features are being included. If so, then I can sell off my S1 - 4 sets to help offset the price of the new box; if not, then I can just go and grab the remaining seasons, which should be somewhat cheaper by then.

But the ending WAS perfect. And Chase has already said there is NO "alternate ending". What you saw is what you got. Didn't like it? Don't buy it. In fact, sell all your other Sopranos DVD sets on eBay.

Actor(s) have stated more was filmed for the final scene but that doesn't mean that there was a better 'ending'.
Whatever the case, you'll get no alternate endings. Chase doesn't want to do anything at all to invalidate the anti-climactic ending of the series. Not to mention, there's never any real features on ANY of these sets anyways. Sopranos is pretty bare bones on their releases all around.
Besides, you need to have something left over for the boxed set the next year perhaps, no?
