Not to go off on a completely different subject so to speak, but what does everyone think of the rumble/wrestlemania complete boxsets? Does the blurring of the wwf logo ruin it for you or is it still ok to watch?

I read someone's review a while back and he said he's grown accustomed to the blurs and I gotta say I have as well. Now don't get me wrong, I wish there was no need for them, I just don't find it nearly as bad as I once did. Maybe they improved on the overall practice? Who Knows. I just don't find it as annoying as I did a few years back.Originally Posted by Joel Goodsen

Yeah it's one of those things you just have to get on with, if you want to own the classic WWF/E events on DVD. Does anyone know if the region 1 & 2 releases of the rumble and wrestlemania boxsets are identical in everyway?Originally Posted by shacmasta

Content wise, I believe it's all the same as far as music edits & blurs. The WM boxset in the UK spreads their content over 31 discs, instead of the 21 discs the US uses. That's because of conversion rules and what not over in the UK. Which means the UK version gets artwork on there discs and the US doesn't, because some of the discs are flippers. The rumble set is 20 discs for both.

According to Dave Meltzer (Wrestling Observer Newsletter/WrestlingObserver.com) the "Stone Cold" Steve Austin DVD titled "Steve Austin Life & Legacy" has been pushed back to a November release. No reason given as to why its been pushed back from the orginial August release. So at least (according to him) we are getting a release in 07 and not 08.
As for the blurring, it bothers me somewhat - would be better if they just blacked out the WWF logo instead - especially when it comes to the logo on the turnbuckles and the t-shirts that the cameramen/fans wear.

I wish they would have just blurred the "f" part of the logo. It would look exactly like their current logo, and there would be a lot less blurring.

It would've been best if Vince just didn't promote the WWF with the scratch logo overseas. He should've just had a new WWF logo. Instead he violated a court order and now we all have to see the blur on the older stuff.Originally Posted by LaxBandit

Sometimes it is, sometimes it doesn't. On the WrestleMania Anthology, you can really notice it on WrestleMania XV and X-Seven. On 2000 and X8, it isn't really noticable.Originally Posted by Joel Goodsen

As for the Royal Rumble Anthology it's really noticable on 1999 and 2000. Haven't really got to watch the 2001 and 2002 Rumbles to say if it's noticable.
Some random notes on both Anthologies:
- At the 2000 Rumble, at one point they actually forgot to paste over a WWE logo over a WWF logo.
- At WrestleMania XV, just when the name bar flashes onto the screen during the Hardcore title entrances, do pause frames and you'll notice WWF logos.
- Also at WrestleMania XV, they forgot to mute out the F just before Kevin Kelly talks to Mr. McMahon.
- At WrestleMania X8, you can see a WWE and WWF logos kinda go on and off around the Steve Austin vs. Scott Hall match.

Most WM and RR with WWF logos already came out on DVD uncensored. For WM the only one without a standalone DVD release was WM 14. WM 15-18 are available intact. For RR the only ones are 98-99 if I'm not mistaken.

Wrestlemania 15 was the first WM released on DVD and Royal Rumble 2000 was the first RR released on DVD so I don't understand your post.
Are you talking about the Tagged Classics that were released in the UK? Alot of the show released in that series have never been released on DVD in the US.

It wasn't as bad on RR 98' or WM 14 since they didn't have the scratch logo on eveything yet. They didn't have it on the turnbuckle pads yet either. I thought it was most noticable on the cameramen's shirts at ringside during WM 14.Originally Posted by Class316

I honestly haven't watched the discs from my anthology sets that I already own without the edits.

No. I simply meant that most scratch logo RR and WM were already out on DVD (namely WM 15 and up and RR 2000 and up).Originally Posted by JCWBobC

Would I be right in assuming that the Region 2 tagged classics are blurred aswell?

Actually,you'll be wrong...
All the attitude era PPV's released thus far under the "Tagged Classics" banner (RR 98,WM14,KOTR 98,99,2000 and more are on the way) are all unblurred with all scratch logos intact and also all WWF mentions are there without any fade outs in audio.
I believe all these DVD's were transfered directly from Silver Vision's VHS masters, but the quality is very very good, and i believe it's the only way we'll ever be able to obtain Attitude era stuff the way it originally aired.
100% worth the import!

Ummmm, is The Triumph and Tragedy of World Class Championship Wrestling DVD coming out on August 7th now? That's the new release date on amazon, which is strange since I didn't thing it was originally coming out until september, and we've heard virtually nothing about it.

Wal-Mart has it listed for 8/7 also. According to PWInsider it was moved up. It would have been nice of them to release a match list or something.Originally Posted by ProPz

According to 411mania.com.............one of the writers offered his thoughts as to why the Stone Cold DVD was pushed back and it is summed up in 2 words....CHRIS BENOIT...
According to article Benoit was on the DVD doing interview stuff and that the great Austin vs. Benoit match from Edmonton as well as the KOTR Three way with Benoit and Jericho could be on the DVD. He says he really hates that this could be the reason, as he is not down with the whole erasing from history deal. We'll have to see what happens here.
NOT SURE IF IT IS ACCURATE BUT IT SURE MAKES SOME SENSE.

Just curious, would anyone be willing to get me a copy of Vengeance or One Night Stand (preferably both) from Blockbuster sealed? All the Blockbusters near me stopped getting copies to sell. I could probably pick up a sealed copy of Judgement Day or Backlash if anyone would be interested in trading.
