Keep in mind they will probably do a Summerslam box set like the Rumble and Wrestlemania sets.

People, cool it down posting the ad from Circuit City. DVDTalk isn't in good terms with them right now and we don't want to cause more trouble or get this thread closed.

The ad was in today's paper and is on their website. They're couldn't care less about this. It's the advance notice stuff they don't like.

Dude, I took it from their website, so calm yourself down. Any schmoe can go over there and look at it. It's also in their ad that came out in the paper's today. If you actually understood what's going on with CC, it has nothing to do with posting their ad in general, it has to do with posting their ad in advance.

Everyone trying to be a moderator...

I'm not trying to moderate or anything. I'm mentioning the fact that Circuit City believes everything that they produce, including their ads, are copyrighted. I don't care either way that you mention if they have a sale or not, but I read from the thread at the feedback forum that one of the many things CC is accusing DVDTalk is of posting images of copyrighted information, aka the Sunday ads, on the forum and according to them, that is a violation. Since Geoff and the DVDTalk moderators have mentioned that we should be patient and wait until everything clears before posting any more CC copyrighted information, then we should help the forum by just following that simple suggestion.

This will be the last weekend for the Ring of Honor DVD grab bags. For $14.95, you get 5 random DVD's. These can be ROH shows, ROH Straight Shootin' or Best Of collections, Full Impact Pro, or any other DVD available on their site. After reading many favorable reviews of the bags, I ordered 6 of them, and with the 25% discount everything came to $77.23 after shipping. That's about $2.50 per title, not a bad deal!
I just bought 4 of these grabbags, sounds like a really cool idea. However, I didn't know about this 20% sale until afterwards. FUCK! But oh well, I never got an ROH spam email about it, like I normally do.

It looks like they edited the 2004 Summerslam cover, even though you cant see it very well in that pic from the CC ad. It looks like they put a big Summerslam Logo on the top part of the dvd, where the Taker/JBL inset was, and moved the Taker/JBL inset down to where the Benoit/Orton inset was. It'll be interesting to see if they cut the main event out. Gotta love WWE's attempt to rewrite history!

And for those who asked, I skimmed through the Diva magazine at Target and the Summerslam tin is exclusive to FYE. There's also an ad in there for the Blockbuster exclusive DVDs (I've got all but WM23 and GAB which I'll pick up Tues).

Then a moderator will remove it if need be. Just irks me that everyone around here has turned into a patrol officer. If there is a problem, then the moderator will edit my post or ask me to remove it.

Really, what's your problem? Do you need adult supervision to act responsible? I gave you and the rest of the posters a friendly reminder about the CC problems DVDTalk is having right now, and how we could help in not aggravating them more by refraining from posting the ads that have gotten this forum in trouble.

Makes sense, they have to wait and let things settle down for a bit before they release Benoit footage again. But i think WWE will still keep Benoit/Orton match since even on RAW this past Monday and SNME they mention Orton winning the World Title 3 years ago.

I also think Backlash 2004 will be re-released with a different cover later on but i think the content will stay the same except for maybe they will likely erase the Chris Benoit Day thing they had on the PPV and DVD.

Friendly? Alright, sure...

Leave the patroling of the threads to the moderators, buddy...

End of discussion. I'm not getting this thread closed because of arguing with someone that is not worth my time.

Christ, some people's children...

Sure, he could leave the "patrolling" of the threads to the moderators... then, instead of getting a "hey, in case you didn't know" post like dx23 gave you, instead you log in to find your account suspended.

Oh, and the attitude? Leave it behind the next time, ok?

The link is broken from the other page so here is a picture of the Steel Book Summerslam 2007 DVD from Silvervision.

Best Buy will also include trading cards with Summerslam, a continuation from the Wrestlemania set.

Gotta admit, that's a nice cover. I assume that the "big 4" (Mania, Summerslam, Survivor Series and Rumble) will all be released in steelbook from now on.

I highly doubt the moderators would've suspended my account for posting that picture. I'm sure they would've removed it, or asked me to remove it, which I would've done. Still trying to figure out why you felt the need to jump into this when it had nothing to do with you in the first place.

I don't want this to turn into an all-out war in the wrestling thread (which I happen to love), so I will say no more.

I felt the need to jump in because I saw you being unnecessarily rude to a respected member of our forums. Maybe you should try a little maturity next time you disagree with someone.

Whatever you say.

Can we get back on topic now?

I like that cover for the Summerslam Steelbook...too bad there's soo many versions I want to get of it. I wonder if Blockbuster is going to have a bonus disc again. Anyone know?

Sorry if this is posted here somewhere, but I did do a search.

What individual Wrestlemanias were released before the big box set? I think that it was Wrestlemania 15 onward, but I am not positive. For those that were released, can anyone tell me how many DVDs were in each? I have the big box set, but I am interested in getting the individual ones as well, since they had more extras.

WM15 was a single disc.
WM's 16-19 were all 2 discs.
WM's 20-22 were all 3 discs.
WM23 was available in 2 disc and 3 disc versions.

Wasn't there a 3-disc version of 17 or 18 that was a UK exclusive?

For those who wondered what theme changes were made in the Royal Rumble Anthology, I have compiled an uncompleted list below:

Royal Rumble Anthology Notes:

1988 Royal Rumble

1989 Royal Rumble

1990 Royal Rumble

- "Jive Soul Bro" is dubbed over with The Big Boss Man's 1998-1999 theme.
- Koko B. Ware's Theme is dubbed over with his Piledriver theme (To me it sounds like a dub)

1991 Royal Rumble

- Intro re-voiced by Mean Gene Okerlund. Live airing and Tagged Classics version is voiced by Vince McMahon. Royal Rumble theme is dubbed over with some cheesy song.
- Orient Express theme is dubbed over. Same one heard on the WrestleMania Anthology.

1992 Royal Rumble

- Intro re-voiced by Mean Gene Okerlund. Live airing and Tagged Classics version is voiced by Vince McMahon. Royal Rumble theme is dubbed over with some cheesy song.

1993 Royal Rumble

1994 Royal Rumble

- Closing theme replaced with some generic song. Orignal song was the WrestleMania VII and VIII theme.

1995 Royal Rumble

1996 Royal Rumble

1997 Royal Rumble

1998 Royal Rumble

- Death Race is dubbed over
- Cactus Jack's theme is dubbed over with his WCW Slam Jam theme.

1999 Royal Rumble

- The Oddities theme is dubbed over. Golga's theme replaced with some generic song. Luna's theme replaced with Randy Orton's 1st.

2000 Royal Rumble

- Cactus Jack's theme is dubbed over with his WCW Slam Jam theme.

2001 Royal Rumble

- Dominatrix is dubbed over with some gemeric theme.
- Drew Carey theme is dubbed over.
- The Undertaker's theme ("Rollin' by Limp Bizkit) is dubbed over with 'You're Gonna Pay' released on WWE Anthology
- Steve Austin's theme ("Glass Shaters" by Disturbed) is dubbed over with his WWF The Music Volume 3 theme.

2002 Royal Rumble

- Kid Rock's 'Cocky' is dubbed over with some generic song.
- Edge's Theme is dubbed over with his Volume 4 Theme.
- Lance Storm's theme is dubbed over with his One Night Stand 2005 theme.
- The Undertaker's theme is dubbed over with Going Postal (Production)

2003 Royal Rumble

2004 Royal Rumble

- "Nothing Left to Lose" by Puddle of Mudd is dubbed over.
- "Bombshell" by Powerman 5000 is dubbed over.

2005 Royal Rumble

- Find the Real by Alter Bridge is dubbed over.

2006 Royal Rumble

- Ashley Massaro's theme is dubbed over.

2007 Royal Rumble

- 'Drones' by Ride Against is dubbed over with some generic song.

If WWE doesn't want to pay for the rights to those tunes, then why don't they go back to coming up with their own music? I'm personally a little tired of the generic nu-metal crap they use for themes anyway. They used to come up with better themes on their own.
