I checked out the WRONG TURN 2 disc this weekend and, I have to say, that I was pleasantly surprised. A really fun horror flick that I expected to be complete crap.

Definitely worth checking out, guys and gals.

I never read a review of Rest Stop and ended up being plesently suprised (it might have been lack of expectations, though). Hopfully it won't be the oposite in this case.

IMHO it's worth at least a rental. I've been meaning to pick it up used at BBV.

I might actually be in danger of hyping this to myself until I can't help but be dissapointed but AICN has an "average horror fan's" review from Frightfest in London: aintitcoolnews.com

I found this part interesting:

[Lynch] said Fox were so happy with the movie, they wanted it to go theatrical. But he said that would have meant cutting the more brutal kills just to get an R rating, and he gave as an example the kill in the opening sequence.
If that is true, I'll be buying this. Hoepfully there will be a two pack available with the first film.

This movie was so much fun. It's been along time since I wasn't disappointed by this kind of movie.
It had it all: humor, tits, great gore & guts, mutant hillbilly love and Henry Rollins!

Pre-ordered!

I just watched Wrong Turn again last night with my son (his first time) and I forgot just how good it was. This was my third or fourth time watching it and it still delivers. The scene in the cabin (with them hiding) is still one of the most tense scenes in recent horror movie history.

Would love to get the Wrong Turn 2-Pack, but there are rumblings of a Wrong Turn 3, and I prefer not to buy boxed sets if a franchise is not yet complete.

Watched it couple of days ago. I'd give it 4 out of 10. Ordinary horror with meaningless plot and poor acting compensating it with gore and inventive murders that are pretty picturesque sometimes So in my opinion it was a decent flick to kill an evening with, but nowhere near the first part.

Awwwwww.... Giggles, say it ain't so. You're killing me here.
Well at least I won't go into it with unreasonalbe expectations (like I did with Hatchet) and may end up enjoying it.

definitely agree. I saw this a few weeks ago and just wasn't very impressed. Some of the kills are great and the set-up was good, but they just didn't deliver.

Well, Dave, I had no expectations at all. Although I had some prejudice at first I tried to throw it away beforу starting watching. You've got to agree, Dave, that aside from a couple of cheap thrills there were nothing there to keep this film in a pantheon of great horror films. Surely it was not intended for a pantheon in the first place...

I haven't seen it yet, so I can't judge. Right now I'm debating whether to (semi)blind buy it or rent when it comes out here. It may depend on the price, and how much more than the $5 rental the purchase price is.

I've got several glowing reviews from different horror sites vs. the opinion of a person who's taste in horror movies I respect completely (that would be you) to consider.
