Yeah, I got them just 2 weeks ago. They're just sitting in the DVD section with the CD holders and shelves and stuff. I'm cheap too and these do the job.

Meanwhile, me and my girlfriend were at the OC Fairgrounds swap meet this morning and we passed by a poster guy and I ended up getting this...

Which made for a perfect fit to go in the empty space next to my TV.

It came framed and the guy does that texturing stuff to it to make it look kinda bumpy. Kinda cool.

Thanks, I'll probably get the same. I'm not an audiophile either, I just want something simple to boost the sound a bit.

And the Dark Knight poster looks amazing!

C'mon, Shady Pete. You can't be a fan of two baseball teams. It's a man card demerit. Nice collections, all. If I was funmanstan, I'd find a way to get the TV lower, though - I couldn't watch it that high up.

cheers,

-the Jesus

Mod note: If I recall correctly a previous version of this thread got shut down early because people started getting more into personal comment like this. Please let's not go down that road again. Any comments like this in the future will be removed.

Also, just to clarify if someone makes a comment like this please just report it, don't comment on it as usually that only makes things worse and it's harder to clean up.

thanks

When you have that many films, how do you not alphabetize them?!

The miraculous thing about alphabetization is that it works just as well for 10,000 items as 1.

I have them arranged by studio. I think it looks better.

I have that same exact curved shelf you are using for the boxed sets. I love it, but a lot of people that see them in my room, tend not to like them so much.

Too bad for them

Robert, nice collection. I really like those set of black shelves.

ShadyPete, where did you get your TV stand at?

I always look at this thread and tell myself I need new shelves (I've run out of room completely). Problem is I'm always too lazy to go out shopping for them

Same here. Thought I'll take you one further: by studio AND alphabetized, not that it really matters.

Honestly Robert, if I were you I'd be a little concerned about that power strip - at least with as many things as you've got plugged into it. How many joules is that thing rated for?

Nerd Alert!

Although I do have a few exceptions:

Criterion gets its own section as do
Masters of Cinema
Russ Meyer
and of course the crazy big limited editions

Its a Monster Home Theatre Reference PowerCenter HTS 950 with 2775 joules. I don't think it will burn my house down anytime soon.
