I can not believe you only paid $200 bucks for all 6 of those seats. Really pretty set up Reddye5 especially love that the dvd's are tucked behind those cabinets. I thought they were just posters! One question though do you have more dvd's elsewhere? And what happens when you run out of room?

Pft! You've run out of space to store your DVDs in those fruity shelves behind posters! Plus your chairs look very uncomforatable! I'm not jealous at all!

Awesome Collection dude!
It may not be inside their box but I sure do drool here how you presented the DVD sets on your display there!
1. Invader zim (house box)
2. Narnia with bookshelf set
3. The Bestbuy Exclusives (Pirates, Tommyboy, Napoleon)
Also
Great selective quality of movie genres you got! (I like your Asian Movie Collection and Animes)

Xage, thanks for the kind words! Means a lot to me, since you are one of my most respected poster on this forum. I love seeing the pictures of all your collections, I must say I'm quite jealous. I'm a college student, but if I had the money, I would do the same thing.
Hate to make you jealous, but I think I have you beat on Superman Returns exclusives Also, here are some more pictures of my other collectibles and exclusives, most of them which I keep unopened. Any questions, please ask!
All of my store exclusive Lenticular covers: (I have Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire Target lenticular exclusive too, just forgot to include it here)
Some of my tin collection:
V for Vendetta BB giftset, Hills Have Eyes BB blood-pack, and Blockbuster rental-only copy of Evil Dead (Thanks Xage!!)
Last but not least, by far the pride and joy of my entire collection: (No! Not Lord of War haha)

I finally got around to taking photos of my collection today - I'd like to apologize in advance for the headache inducing quality of them - I tried to 'collage' the multiple images into single ones to eliminate the need of 20+ picures but it didn't turn out too well. My battery died while taking these so I wasnt able to get to my HT.
There are some titles I'm not proud of in my collection - so no need to point them out
TV Collections:
Anime:
Blu Ray/HDDVD (first 1.5 shelves) and Movie DVDs:
Asian Cinema:
Misc DVDs (looking for a place to put these, but I'm already pretty limited on room):
Music DVDs:
UMD's (See, Someone was buying them! )
Autographed DVDs:
t.A.T.u. signed by the 2 girls
Ren and Stimpy signed by John K, Eric Bauza and Jim Smith
Dawn of the Dead: Signed by Ken Foree
Sin City extended: Signed by Rosario Dawson
Josie and the Pussycats: Signed by Rosario Dawson
House of 1000 corpses: Signed by Sid Haig
Sin City UMD: Signed by Rosario Dawson
Clerks 2 HDDVD: Signed by Rosario Dawson
Poultrygeist preview DVD: Signed by Lloyd Kaufman
Sin City: Signed by Brittany Murphy
Land of the Dead HDDVD: Signed by George Romero
From dust til dawn: Signed by Danny Trejo
Sin City: Signed by Rosario Dawson
Mega 64 Time: Signed by Mega 64 cast
Once upon a time in Mexico: Signed by Danny Trejo
Dawn of the Dead 2004: Signed by Ken Foree
Devils Rejects: Signed by Ken Foree, Sid Haig and Rosario Dawson (I'm sure she was sick of me ) - I had it with me when I saw Danny Trejo and Diamond Dallas Page but completely forgot they were both in it or I would've had them sign it.
EDIT: Not pictured - Cowboy Bebop The Movie: Signed by Toshihiro Kawamoto (charactor designer)
I had a few DVDs with me when I met Milla Jovovich a few weeks ago but she was only signing items provided by the studio

Thought I'd ask this because it's related to my HT....
I was messing with the settings on my new Vizio LCD and there was an option for adjusting the "backlight" , what is this? I have it currently on 0 out of 100. Is that bad? Please tell me what it is and answer my question.
Thanks in advance.

DVD Talk Legend
Here's the latest incarnation of my "Home Theatre". We don't have a dedicated room. I just don't have the time to spend watching movies to justify dedicating an entire room, so our living room does double-duty as a home theatre, and entertaining guests. I'm not one who feels the need to buy the biggest/best/most expensive. Good quality at a good price.
Trixie and I appreciate the neat and uncluttered look, especially since this is the main room for entertaining. The "Netflix warehouse" look is not our cup of tea, so our DVD collection is condensed, compact, and hidden.

Main view
- Vizio 42" LCD HDTV. An amazing display at an amazing price.
- Motorola HD-DVR Cable box. (attached via HDMI)
- Toshiba D-KR10 DVD recorder. As a player, it is "ok"... not as good as my Pioneer players. As a recorder, it is "ok". We needed the occasional recording ability. This will eventually be replaced by a quality Pioneer recorder. (attached via HDMI)
- XBox 360 Premium w/80GB external HardDrive. This is our media "jukebox". The external harddrive contains a mirror copy of our mp3 audio collection and re-encoded videos for local playback. (attached via component)
- Logitech Z-540 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers. Great sound at a great price. I really appreciate the compactness of it all. The Sub contains the amp (no additional component).
- Audio Technica AT-PL50 Turntable. This turntable can operate as a traditional turntable, but with the flip of a switch, the built-in pre-amp is activated and can be attached to computer soundcard, powered speakers, etc. Much more versatile and higher quality than those USB turntables floating around.
- Crosley CR49 Traveler Portable Turntable. This turntable is used for our backyard parties, and for those times when I want to play records in the guest room.
- Media cabinet. DVDs and Audio CDs. Most of the DVDs have been removed from their cases and stored in binders. Boxsets are kept in their boxes.
- Vintage lounge LPs. My more frequently played LPs are stored here.
Rear view
- a. Rear channel speakers. Sound great but small.
- b. Recessed Lighting w/dimmer. Lights can be set to just the right level.
