For those who were complaining that the CSV Export function is missing in 3.0, there's a new plugin to solve your problems. Go to the Invelos forums, then the Plugin forum, then look for CSVExport. You find a link to the plugin and instructions on how to install it.
It's everything that we had in 2.4 and then some. So if you like CSV files, I think you'll be very happy with it.

so I'm starting to do my own coverscans now that my scanner is up and running and I have a question. what is a good size to resize the scans to for when I upload/contribute them? I am currently scanning them at full res. and editing/coverting them to .jpg in either photoshop or irfanview at a resize of 800 x 600 which nets a single side of the cover at around 150kb for a Blu-Ray disc(I'm not sure what I get for a regular DVD yet as I haven't done any yet). is this a good size or should I try for a bit smaller?

What's the current verdict on DVDProfiler 3 or whatever it's on? I have the free 2.4, which is no longer getting updates apparently, and though I've been using it for quite a while and don't have a problem paying for it, i don't want to pay for an upgrade if I lose features. I also don't necessarily want to start over with a new program/site, but will if DVDPro 3 is a downgrade.
Features I like:
* local and online usage, including shareable online link with all titles shown
* inventory upload/download
* price reporting (price paid)
* watched/unwatched reporting
* export to csv or xls
* large DVD database (primarily R1, I don't have any intl dvds)
* user=selectable filters.
* various sorting methods, both in the program and on the website, at least by title and collection number (which roughly equates to purchase order for me).
Basically does DVDPro3+ remove any features that are in 2.4, and is it worth the thirty bucks to 'upgrade' and support them, or should I starting checking out other alternatives? Also can I run 2.4 (free) and 3.0 (free or paid) concurrently so I don't lose any information in the conversion?

how can I add a dvd using the disc ID for dvds not on the database. I tried yesterday but it would not let me add any that weren't already on the system.

There is a export to csv feature. It's a plugin. After you purchase the program go to the invelos forums. Visit the plugin forum. Halfway down the page you will see "new plugin csv export" by mark harrison. Download that and booyah, there you have it.

Well, I bought 3.0, after dl'ing the 'demo' version and playing with it for a little bit. Either I was missing stuff in 2.4, or 3.0 adds a lot of features. "High res" pics definitely look a lot better.
The filters seem a little more awkward to use, but maybe I'm just not used to it.

They seem like useless features to me, but if you're interested in any of that data, you'll want the new version.

You should be able to upgrade for free. If you can't do it through the web page ( http://www.invelos.com/Registration.aspx?display=update ), check this thread ( http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?t...opic&topicID=2 ) which addresses similar problems and how they were solved.

First time that happened to me, i thought it wouldnt let me add the dvd. It's just an opportunity for you to make dvdprofiler better. I ran into this recently with the Target exclusive Heroes dvd. Just havent had the time to type all the stuff in.

Version 3.1.0 is available.
BTW, you should upgrade before downloading any new updated profiles. The profiles now have more choices for cases/slip case, and after I downloaded new profiles the new slip case selections did not show up in the old version, or after I upgraded. I had to download the profiles again after upgrading.
