I picked up the new Rocky 2 disc with a Christmas gift card. Gonna wait and be hopeful for new releases of the others. I'd certainly like to have them. All good stuff, IMO - yeah, even V.

I finally saw this tonight and absolutly loved it, it makes me want go out and buy all of the Rocky movies on DVD. Is there any hope at all for a big box set with all six films, or will I have to wait it out and see. Hell if the James bond flicks can get released on dvd as much as they have I think the whole Rocky series could get another release.

Yeah I don't think that first ending was filmed, I do believe that the second one was filmed. Although I also read numerous times that Stallone shot 4 endings. So we'll have to see.

Was part V's alternate (Or shall I say, original) ending ever shot?

Hmm. Now I don't know what to do. I've been holding off on the first five since the new movie was announced. Now it seems that I might have to buy them separate from Rocky Balboa. I'm still going to hold off just in case. Plus with Stallone mentioning his desire to make special editions out of all the sequels, it might be the best thing to do for now.

I don't know what to do now. I was planning to hold out for the inevitable box set but with this news, I could buy the 2-disc Rocky, Rocky Balboa, and then hold out for SE of Rocky 2-5.

A year ago it would have been a given but MGM's distribution has changed and it's not gonna happen.

It would be nice to see Fox relese a 10 disc box set of the first five films with 2 disc special editions for all of the films. They deserve it and that series keeps gettin' screwed over. It's too bad.
