can we get some verification...
is there anyone from the site that can contact WB on behalf of dvdtalk and find out exactly what the status/gameplan is with this release? as you may, or may not, know this release is once again not being sold on amazon. it's also not available anywhere else. deepdiscountdvd listed it as having a new release date in february and that is now gone completely. what i'm wondering is if this set is out of print, in-print but out of stock, or is going to be rereleased in its proper versions. anything we could find out about this release would be infinitely helpful. thanks

I'll respond here too as your other thread may get closed.
I bought my Ultimate Collection just a few days ago at Best Buy. I took my chances hoping it was the corrected version and luckily it was. Before I bought there I tried a few online retailers but none had it in stock. I'm guessing when they do come back in stock they'll be the corrected versions

Since I still have not received a mailer, I came up with a possible theory. Warner Brothers, clearly distraught over their screw-up on the Ultimate Collection, hired the actual Superman to fly the mailers to each mailbox. Yet somehow my house and the surrounding property contains Krypton deposits, buried somewhere in the yard, and Superman, however valiently he tries, keeps losing his flying ability around my neighborhood and thus can't get to my mailbox. So WB, if this is true, tell Superman to not bother (although I appreciate his attempts) and that I'll be happy with a delivery by a plain old mailman.

Got my envelope on January 22nd. Mailed the defective discs back on the same day. As of today (Feb. 14th), I still have not received my corrected discs. I also ordered the five posters on the fifth of January, but don't have those either.
I'm on hold with Warners right now. 23 minutes so far, and nothing but classical music and the occasional voice asking me not to hold because my call is very important to them. *sigh*

Follow-up to my last post:
After 61 minutes on hold, I finally got a rep in India, who informed me that my replacement discs were mailed on February 2nd.
"Yes," I told her, "but today's the 14th and I haven't received them."
"They were shipped," she repeated, "on February 2nd."
"Yes, I'm sure they were. But I didn't get them. So what should I do?"
"Just enjoy the discs once they arrive!"
"Ma'am... it does not usually take twelve days for something to arrive in the mail from California to Pennsylvania. The discs may be lost in the mail. Would it be possible for you to re-send them?"
"They should be there any day, sir. Give it another week, and if they don't show up, call us back and we'll reprocess the order for you."
So after a wait of more than an hour on the phone, the WB answer is that they mailed the discs two weeks ago but I need to give it another week *and call back again* if I don't get them.
*sigh* I love this Superman DVD set, and I admire Warners for agreeing to replace the discs in question... but I can't say I'm impressed with their efficiency.

Geez, I didn't have all this trouble. I called the number second week of January and got through to an operator on the third ring. She took down my info and I was off the phone 15 seconds later. A week after that the pre-paid envelopes arrived and I sent the discs back. And I received the replacement discs on Feb. 1. The whole thing took 3 weeks total and I live in Hawaii. Go figure.

It seems like WB customer service has been very inconsistent in their delivery of these replacements. After reading several of these posts, it seems like most people on the West coast, primarily Southern California, got their DVD's and envelopes right away. I know I got my envelopes and DVD's back all in a matter of 2 weeks back in December.

Well, I got a set of Superman and Superman 3 in the mail today sent from Canada. Sent on the 5th Feb. Considering I called the 800 Number on the 7th complaining that my DVDs have not arrived and was told the email address I selected was not valid.
Wonder if I will get a second set from the valid email.

1 Month total (23 business days) from calling to discs received.
12 business days since returning discs.
Not bad. I'll verify later though, hopefully they are correct.

I bought 2 UE box sets and need 2 sets of replacement discs for "Superman" and "Superman 3". I was trying to save a phone call to the US, but if I do not hear any think soon I may need to make an international call.

No reply from the first either.
Just a big wait and see really. I do suggest an international phone call, but the CSR I spoke to took a while to relise that I was international. Kept on asking for a valid 5 digit zip code.

Called 1/9, received envelopes 1/24, mailed discs 1/25, received replacement discs on 2/14. I think the process went very smooth on my end. I just waited until after the mad rush of peeps mailing their's in before I called.

I sent back only Superman 3, since I didn't feel Superman 1 was worth sending thru the mail... sent the disc out on Feb 5 and received both Superman 1 & 3 on Feb 13th.
Was surprised how quick I received the replacement Sup.3 disc and Sup. 1 disc since I didn't send it along.
Anyone need an extra Superman 1 Disc? Also looking to get rid of the 2001 Superman box collection. ( just kidding, i don't think there will be any takers in this thread)
