Well, I looked at the back of the cover on dvdempire.com, and it says Disc one: Recut version of the film. Seems to be the only version in this set, so I probably won't buy it.

I bought this today at my local Best Buy. It is one of the best special editions I have seen in a long while. Disc 1 has both versions of the film. There are four commentaries. on Disc 2 you get a making-of that's 1hr 40min long. 2 deleted scenes and a host of featurettes about Christ. It is well worth the money and the wait.

I hope it's in HD so I can really feel the suffering and finally "get it." Man, I just couldn't get it until I saw the film. Wow. Now I GET IT.

Duncan I laughed at your joke.
So no reviews for this anywhere? I'd get it except I'm waiting for HD (blu-ray)... but I'm sure the first one Fox puts out will be without extras... so maybe next yr they'll release this one.

As good as four commentaries is, that DTS track was a marvel. That damn Recut travesty has NO business being on the DVD.
Looks like I'm keeping the original.
