I don't suppose we will ever see the version with the F word...
I saw a preview of this in the UK some months before it opened, and I believe before it had also opened in the US. I cannot remember the 'alternative ending', but I vividly remember the F word being used, in the scene where Josh's best friend goes into his office and chides him because he is becoming too grown up and does not want to spend any time with him any more etc...at one point he used the F word and it seemd totally wrong and out of place, considering the tone of the rest of the movie.
It would be interesting to see if anyone can validate this, because I have never seen it mentioned anywhere since, but I have a very strong, abiding memory of this.

Edit: According to imdb.com:
"The UK version has a slight cut for language to achieve a PG certificate."
That would explain why you've never never seen it in tact there but it's always been present in the stateside version.

* 2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
* English Stereo
* French & Spanish Mono
* Spanish subtitles
* BIG Brainstorming - An audio documentary by Gary Ross and Anne Spielberg using archival audio material of the original creation of the script
Disc 2: Extra Features
* 10 Deleted Scenes with Optional Intro by Peny Marshall
* BACKSTORY: BIG

True, the aspect ratio is wrong, but it's likely just a typo. Still, big thumbs up to Fox for including the theatrical and extended cuts!

Actually, that's what I was expecting on League, but it was actually pretty good.
Can't wait for this release!

Ok, everyone has a big jimmy, now back on topic. This looks like a nice release to upgrade from the older version I have.

Very Cool and a Director's Cut as well. Pretty good price at Amazon.com - $13.99 . Just picked up the Tom Hank's Collection a few weeks ago so I could get an anamorphic widescreen release of the Money Pit.

Apologies for that (creating a new thread)
So it's a DC, and not an Extended Edition? Cool.
I've never seen the version with the F-Word though (I thought that was the whole point of PG-13?)

I hope they include the Tom Hanks death scene and being buried with the Zoltar machine, at least as a deleted scene. I saw the work print of it and damn if it wasn't tragic.
