I liked it as well. Definitely post the full version when you finish it up.

Hey Darknite - the free RiffTrax DVD Player will sync everything up perfectly.

Thanks to you as well. Not trying to hijack the thread, but here's the updated (and possibly almost final) version of my cover for those of you keeping track:

I messed around with different colors for the back for a while, and blue and grey were the only colors that really worked. That's probably all I really need to do with it, aside from touching up the legal text at the bottom. But I get stumped on the back of covers a lot, so if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to tell me.

A friend of mine actually got his DVD already so I got to watch it tonight. Very, very funny. I'm now in the "buy everyone of these they put out" camp myself. The part where dungeon girl tells the Ryan O'Neal-like guy she was bitten by a rat and he sucks the poison out almost killed me.

Have to give a little love to Rifftrax. If you purchased the Mike Nelson Autographed copy (or any copy) of Plan 9 From Outer Space there is a new rifftrax for it available. Google video also has a free public domain copy that can be downloaded.

It is one of the funniest (granted the movie is shooting fish in a barrel) I have listened to. This is the kind of track many of us wanted when this was first released by Legend. Mike did a solo one that was okay, but none of his Legend tracks were Rifftrax quality.

Just to note since this is a Legend release it is colorized. The track was done off of the color version, but there is only one joke related to it late in the movie. It looks like Legend screwed up the colorizing (if you don't consider all the colorizing screwed up) in one quick section and they make a Hulk joke. Outside of that all the jokes work on the black and white version.

My only complaint is the track is funniest in the beginning and kind of peters out a bit towards the end. I think this movie is just so easy to beat up on you start feeling sorry for it by the end.

Nope - wasn't a screw up... totally intentional. If you follow the dialog you'll understand the effect. BYW: Plan 9 with the RiffTrax will be available for download on the RiffTrax site. Much of the humor is greatly enhanced in the color version as anyone who attended the sold out Castro Theater Live Riff this month will tell you. The RiffTrax player version of the Plan 9 Rifftrax was encoded using the Legend color version so that's the only one that will sync properly. It's one of the most popular RiffTrax at the moment.

Someone has spent a lot of time and money in something that's probably going to wind up getting them sued by Best Brains in the near future...

without the canned laughter, it would be pretty good. Like the Radio line.

Totally missed it both times I have watched it. I never got why his face turned green there so I guess I need to pay better attention. I've always watched it with Mike Nelson commentary or the Rifftrax so probably missed the dialog. I did finally notice the photo of the contest winners the second time through.

Can't wait for the Weird Al track.

I guess you're not aware of the fact that when aliens are startled they turn green. It goes away once they regain their composure.

It's hard to believe Rifftrax could get any funnier, but Weird Al has to be up there as one of the best I've heard so far. It comes out on Tuesday.

There's another public domain short rifftrax available: "Act your Age". As much as the movies are great, I love these shorts!

Its hard to argue with 99 cents. The divx version works great, but I also like that they give you the MP3 and link to the public domain video so you can watch it like a normal riffrtrax with no DRM to hassle with.

Watched the Jurassic Park rifftrax last night. Although it starts out a bit slow, there's a lot of very funny stuff in this one.

I'd certainly be happy to have Al back for a future movie.

Maybe it'd get old, but they should do Jurassic Park 2 and 3.

I'm glad they're doing those '40s/'50s era Shorts now. Those were a highlight of MST3K and it's great to have some newly riffed ones!

Finished it as well and thought it was great. Weird Al was very funny and seemed to be very comfortable riffing. I get a bit worried by these guest star ones as the Fred Willard one was among the worst tracks I have listened to.

While I appreciate that they finally released public domain shorts with the rifftrax already nicely set-up for us, they couldn't of picked a more boring short (and unfunny rifftrax) to do it with.

I'm waiting for the last matrix to hit and the remaining LOTR movies. I laughed many times in the first LOTR movie when they made Mr. Smith jokes. Watching the first matrix movie, there were some LOTR jokes tossed in as well.

The rifftrax are easily the best $2.99 and $3.99 I have spent. I think I have about 20 movies so far.

Nice to see that Rifftrax is getting some premium ad space on the front page of DVD Talk.
