The Frighteners did get a 4-disc set in Germany:

Better yet, Dead Alive?
I'm sure there are fans that would like a multiple disc set of this title as well, with as many supplementary features as possible. It's not even unheard of, since Dust Devil recently got a 5-disc SE release.

i think the sets pretty good, I love that they included the 1996 script which is totally different where Jack is a world war 2 fighter pilots.

This question is directed to Canadians:
Have you seen this DVD on your B&M stores? I went to Future Shop today and they weren't selling there.

The Target I went to only had 1 or 2 copies.

Just wondering if anyone can post pics of the case and how the DVD's are stored in them.

I have heard that some people don't like the packaging for this.

Not a fan of the clear case. It feels really cheap. My BB and Target all had tons of copies.

Yes, my Best Buy had about four of them. I must have an awesome Best Buy, along with the Kong gift sets, they had several Forbidden Planet tins, Oldboy tins, and the Da Vinci Code gift set. Too bad I couldn't afford them all though.

Got this for my B-day today. Case is ok. Had to exchange the first one though as Disc one was a floater and scratched all to hell.

I don't know about anyone else, but I had the darndest time finding a good copy of this. Best Buy had plenty, but a vast majority of the slip covers was heavily abused in one way or another. Checked every last one. Brand new, and looked like they had been given to a bunch of infants for playtime. That, and there was an unusually large number of floaters. Amazing.

With regard to the quality of the packaging, I agree that it feels cheap. Guess I got spoiled with the elegance of the Lord of the Rings extended cuts. Would have appreciated a similar design for Kong. But... it is what it is.

I bought this from Future shop today. They also had the gift set there but there was no way I'm paying 40 extra bucks for that dumb statue thing...not worth it at all. With the Lord of the Rings Gift set, at least they included an extra dvd to sweeten the deal and the boxes were way nicer...It seems Universal didn't really put much into this. I was also a little disappointed with the slipcase. Besides having to search through about 10 of them to find a unmauled one, I'm not impressed with the metallic background they printed them on. It 's hard to read, and the pictures look washed out in the foldout section. Plus the actual case just looks cheap. At least it was only 25 bucks...

I couldn't seem to find one damn copy of this where the top disc on the right side hadn't gotten dislodged from the packaging. I thought I did, but as soon as I walked out the store I found that it was bouncing around in the box. Worst packaging ever. I also opted against the Gift Set because of all the other releases this week (and this month).

Most best buys and wal-marts have them. The cheapeast I have seen it is at best buy and it is going for $64.83CDN. So you get the statue for around $35...probably not worth it to many but, I get a kick out of it

Disc 3 was dislodged when I opened mine, but because it was under Disc 2, it didn't float too much and wasn't scratched. But I think it's a result of cheap, cheap packaging.

I saw tons of them at my local Hastings. They had almost as many giftsets as they did the regular sets.

watched this night wow - was very impressed, even for a standard non-HD disc, the transfer (audio/video) was incredible.

the hidden diary on disc one was lame.

I actually picked this up at Blockbuster Video for $10.70 out of my wallet because I returned a DVD that I bought from them awhile ago that was still sealed and the price was $19.99, so I got that in store credit. They of course were charging $29.99! So price wise this double-dip wasn't overly expensive for me, but I lost a DVD that I was never gonna watch to get a huge price drop on this DD. However I must say, the video is incredible and among the best I have ever seen on a DVD. So, it was well worth it! and this easily blows the 2-disc set out the door.
